"An international initiative, Health On the Net Foundation (HON) is a non-profit organisation, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The Foundation is dedicated to realising the benefits of the Internet and related technologies in the fields of medicine and healthcare. The purpose of the Foundation is to advance the development and application of new information technologies, notably in the fields of health and medicine." The site contains a library, media gallery, lists of future and past health conferences and events, and links to support communities in the health field. The site is available in English or French.

"The W3C was founded in October 1994 to lead the World Wide Web to its full potential by developing common protocols that promote its evolution and ensure its interoperability. We are an international industry consortium." The site has information about the web and sections on user interface, technology and society, architecture, and the web accessibility initiative.
