http://www.aalt.org/ - "The Alberta Association of Library Technicians (AALT) is an organization dedicated to fostering and enhancing the professional image of Library Technicians. AALT was formed in 1974 to help promote a wider understanding and acceptance of the Library Technicians status in Alberta and to assist in the implementation of recognized provincial education standards. In 1995, AALT was made up of approximately 250 members, the majority of which are from Alberta." Some of the features included in this site are lists of upcoming events such as workshops & social functions, information about Canadian educational programs for library technicians, other sites of interest, job opportunities for library technicians with both local & international listings, links to a number of search tools, other library associations and related pages of interest.
What is the IPL?
The Internet Public Library is a public library for the world wide web.
Students from a consortium of colleges and universities with programs in information science develop and maintain the IPL!
