William S. Yellow Robe, Jr.

William S. Yellow Robe, Jr. is an enrolled Assiniboine from the Fort Peck Indian reservation. He is the author of several published plays, poems and short stories. He has worked at the University of New Mexico’s Native American Studies Department in Albuquerque, where he was artistic director of the Wakiknabe Intertribal Theater (which he founded in 1997). He also advised and helped form a student theater company there, Wakiknabe II, in 1998.
