The Apache HTTP Server Project
http://httpd.apache.org/
"The Apache HTTP Server Project is an effort to develop and maintain an open-source HTTP server for modern operating systems including UNIX and Windows NT. The goal of this project is to provide a secure, efficient and extensible server that provides HTTP services in sync with the current HTTP standards. Apache has been the most popular web server on the Internet since April of 1996. The October 2004 Netcraft Web Server Survey found that more than 67% of the web sites on the Internet are using Apache, thus making it more widely used than all other web servers combined."
Enhanced Whois Directory
http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp
This site lets users check to see who has registered any domain name server, or register his or her own site. "The Whois Source website currently indexes all domains in the .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, .BIZ, and .US TLDs. In addition to indexing every active domain, it also knows about the 25,285,716 inactive domains that have been registered and deleted since the early days of the Internet. * Smart WHOIS Report shows the status of the domain. If a live site exists presents a thumbnail of the home page along with the website title, traffic ranking, meta descriptions and keywords, and more. * Information is presented in a simple, easy to read format."
ServerWatch
