National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism

NIAAA supports and conducts biomedical and behavioral research on the causes, consequences, treatment, and prevention of alcoholism and alcohol-related problems. In addition to information about NIAAA and its activities, this site contains a large selection of publications related to alcohol and health, including national statistics and information on alcohol abuse and treatment for physicians, researchers, law enforcement, and the general public. Also included is the ETOH Database, a bibliographic database of alcohol-related research literature; Quick Facts about alcohol-related topics; and clinical trials. Some materials here are available in Spanish.
NIAAA Alcohol and Alcohol Problems Science Database

"ETOH is the world's largest and most comprehensive online database of alcohol research literature and covers work found in peer-reviewed journals, books, conference papers and proceedings, reports, studies, and dissertation abstracts. Each record includes an abstract. The ETOH database is indexed with vocabulary from the Alcohol and Other Drug Thesaurus: A Guide to Concepts and Terminology in Substance Abuse and Addiction."
Pride Institute: LGBT Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Care

Pride Institute is a "safe space" and treatment center for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning people who are struggling with depression, psychological issues, or addiction to alcohol, crystal meth, cocaine, heroin or other illegal drugs. Site includes addiction support information and resources for clients as well as family, friends, and caregivers.
