This site is hosted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services at WomensHealth.gov. It contains a wealth of information, from common questions and answers about breastfeeding, benefits of breastfeeding, and information about the National Breastfeeding Campaign, including a radio interview with Surgeon General Richard H. Carmona. This site also includes a link to the breastfeeding helpline, available in both Spanish and English, where you can call toll-free with your breastfeeding questions and get answers from trained peer counselors. Lactivism.net contains great information on breastfeeding, including information on "lactation activism," also known as "lactivism." Read position papers on breastfeeding from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the World Health Organization, and the American Dietetic Association, among others.
