National Association of Counties

Since 1935, NACo has represented the interests of counties before Congress and the Administration." This site contains a list of county and corporate members and links to state associations of counties, professional affiliates and other related organizations. It also provides information about member services, legislative issues and news affecting county governments.

A directory of cause lobbyists in the United States. Lobbyists are organized by subject and can be searched. Each entry contains contact information, the mission or goals of the lobbyist, and a link to each website.
The Privacy Rights Clearinghouse

PRC is a nonprofit consumer information, research, and advocacy program, based in San Diego, California. PRC provides a variety of services and products to consumers, including a hotline for reporting privacy abuses, consumer advocacy, and educational materials. Their web site contains a variety resources that provide practical tips on safeguarding personal privacy, including privacy fact sheets (in English and Spanish), identity theft resources, speeches and testimony given by PRC, and links to the privacy-related Web sites.

The Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA) website is a great source for information about human rights issues, the drug trade, military conflict, and economic issues in the region. Specific country information, and links to further scholarly publications about it, are available for nearly every country in the region. Information on the Andes region and Mexico is especially thorough.
