“Sir? We are about to land in Aglo,” the flight attendant said in a kindly manner. I was so tired. I could barely open up my eyes because the sun was shining too bright through the small window. We’d been in the air for about 6 hours, and I’d been asleep for the whole airplane ride. “We have arrived in Aglo, Illinois, and we’re about to land, so could everyone please buckle up your seatbelts and turn off all electronic devices?” the pilot asked into the loudspeaker. I was glad to be out with the old and in with the new. We’d lived in Brazil for so long. Mom, Dad, and I had to get out of that boring, old town and country. My parents were in the back of the airplane. When we landed, it was really bumpy and it gave me a headache. I was excited …show more content…
They drove to this place called McDonald’s. We went inside to order some food. “What do you want honey?” “Mom, I can’t eat remember?” My parents had totally forgotten that I don’t eat regular food like a regular human being anymore. After they got done, we went to Barnes and Nobles. They bought me a big book that would last me awhile. I drank a little and it sure was delicious. I think it was a cookbook because I only drank four pages, and then I was already full to the maximum. My parents found me a new school to attend! I’m so excited. I can’t wait to make new friends and to hang out with them. I start in three days, and I know that I’m totally ready. It’s going to be a blast at my new school! I’m kind of nervous though. I wonder if people are going to make fun of me or if they’re going to like me. Well I’ll just have to find out. I’m going to the school tomorrow to see what it looks like, and I’ll decide if I want to go there or not. The school is totally great. They have great teachers and a great athletic policy for the boys. We’ll just have to see if I like the students and then I’ll be all set for the school year. My principal’s name is Mr. Locke. He’s super nice and cool. I can’t wait to start next
“Here we are” panted my dad as he sat down on a boulder. “Phew, that was rough” I seid as I sat down next to my dad. “Can I have a Clif Bar? It's hot out here backpacking.” seid my dad.
I knew once I stepped through those doors that was home for me. Two weeks later I transferred and started January 4, 2016 the first day back from Christmas break. I was ecstatic, happy, and nervous, but I knew I made the right choice and every day after that has been fantastic. I played sports every season, I joined clubs, and most importantly found happiness. I am into to my senior year and it is flying by like a cheetah on skies.
There were 15 of us from my church all squished into two vans. While I climbed into this big van I thought it was going to be so fun to drive up a mountain, see all the appealing scenery and have the thrill of almost feeling like we're going to fall. Well…. I was wrong. Every second there was a huge bump or pothole in the road so our heads were slamming against the side of the van.
It was my first time ever visiting Disneyland. While we were waiting for the ferry my stomach felt like it was was upside down. I felt sick. I had never had a feeling like this. It was the most exciting moment of my entire life.
A few years ago I moved out of my hometown and ended up attending a new school. The new school was much nicer than my old one. It was freshly rebuilt with brand-new floors. The whole place looked more modern than the old-fashioned building I used to go to. At the new school, the people dressed and acted differently.
Woohoo! I’m going to Minnesota for the first time! I can’t believe I got good enough grades to go. Despite it being 5 in the morning on a summer day, I’m so excited nonetheless! Kinda wish they had planned to meet up at the college at a later time
I have never been on a plane before, but apparently, we were going to be riding one there. After finding out that I was going to be on a plane for the first time, I was terrified. One, I am afraid of heights and two, I have never been out of the state without my family. I shouldn 't have been even panicking yet, because I haven 't asked to go yet. My mom was on her way home from work
They told me we were to leave that Tuesday, giving me six days to pack. The night before Tuesday, I could barely sleep. The anticipation was raging in my veins. It would be it first time to ever leave Memphis and ride on a real airplane.
I made my peace with it, at least I could wear colorful clothes. I remember that I didn’t think it would be much different besides the dress code and my friends not being there, so I wasn’t too excited and didn’t expect much. Little did I know, my perception of things was going to change drastically. I was going to fourth grade and it felt like a world of difference once I stepped
That wasn 't a nice moment to remember, but I guess that was a part of the experience to travel in a airplane. That was a five and a half hour trip
“When I was 4 years old I broke my foot jumping off the couch.” It was just my brother Preston and I and we were playing a game and it was a pretty fun game but it was loud. When I got to my room I saw that the nerf gun was taken out and we were playing hide and go seek. He was hiding and I had to find him.
Have you ever felt uncomfortable, nervous, and confused ? These are all the things I felt moving to a new school. I had no idea if I would gain friends or if anyone would like me. Maybe if I had a tour around the new school before my first day I would have not been so disorientated. Going from a one story school to a two story school was hard, having to look down every five seconds to make sure I was on the right hall, or if I was suppose to be upstairs or downstairs.
“Wow i'm shocked you're going to that school” former teachers would tell me These were the people who didn't believe I could go to a school like this. I knew from the moment I learned about this school, that's where I wanted to go. I felt they could help me succeed like I wanted and help me do great things. Others also knew this was a good choice, some former teachers always had saw my potential and knew I was going to do great, no matter how much trouble I’d gotten in.
I was so hungry I could eat an entire cow. We went to KFC and got the big bucket of chicken. Me, Wade, and Ellee fell asleep. My mom woke us up and said, “ Go inside take showers and go to bed sleepy heads.” So I did, I went to go lay on my bed to go to bed.
It was just another tranquil night until they came. I remember waking up and vaguely feeling that something strange was going to happen. My heart started beating faster as I heard a small, unfamiliar noise. A tiny voice asked, “Is he the one?”
