The cold war was filled full of communism during the time and even though, not many people want to admit it. Ronald Regan indeed won the war on communism in the cold war. How you might ask? I will explain. President Regan, as soon as he was admitted into office initiated a plan to deal with the Soviet Union and that meant that they were moving away from the détente policy that was set into place in the early 1970’s Regean Viewed the Soviet Union as an evil empire that had to be dealt with. Most people like to discredit him for what he has done however when the chips fell into play he delivered and carried out the actions like a true president. He believed that America was the country that was supposed to be viewed upon as an icon we were the good guys they were the bad guys. Regean believed that we were the ones that had to set an example for the other countries. Regan was an amazing president and he did the very best he could to make sure that we did not succumb to a threat of communism even though people don’t believe that he was the one that stopped communism president Regan played a major part in putting an end to an issue that could have been a lot worse if he did not come along and step in.
