Team Survivors When it comes to survivor and my team was in a game were the only survivor was the last group standing, I would have to pick the best of the best in order to survive. In that case I need people who is trustworthy, strong, loyal, and smart. This bring me with The Character Antigone, because she was loyal to her brother and she didn’t get scared when the situation was dangerous. Another team member I would pick would be Gilgamesh because you need someone who is fearless and can take at anything and anyone. Also I have to have in my team Enkidu from The Epic of Gilgamesh because he knows how to survive in the wild. And last but not least, I have to have the Queen Scheherazade because she is a strong role model to her people, and she was also one of the bravest women in her kingdom. With my combination of strength and power to take any challenge that is put in front of me, all of my four team members have the qualities that it takes in order to survive any kind of challenge they put in front of us. In the story of Antigone, she play’s tragic heroine, which I would new in my team in order to survive. In the first moments of the play, Antigone is opposed to her sister Ismene, because she was afraid Antigone wanted …show more content…
Antigone has the courage to take on anything and anyone, and she is a person you can trust one hundred percent. Gilgamesh is the muscle of the team, which he is the fiercest of warriors who can take at anyone or anything. Enkidu who is the sidekick of Gilgamesh who has the ability to survive in any environment has to be in my team. And last the Queen Scheherazade, who is a smart, brave women who would take any challenge at whatever cost it has to take. All of this character would make the greatest team in any game of Survivor, and I am pretty sure this team would be the last team
In the prologue, Antigone tries to convince her sister, Ismene, to agree to
They accomplish good deeds that set them apart from the rest of their groups. Odysseus’ singles them out because of what they do. However, each man has a fatal flaw that leads to his death. Eurylokhos and Amphinomos are both interesting because they are nuanced characters. The gods, Athena and Helios, see them as bad men who possess perhaps a few redeeming features, but who ultimately deserve to die.
Hero: “a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities” (Merriam-Webster) Evident in many classic stories, the hero is always the character that makes the justifiable choice. Their role as the hero is never questioned. The hero always prevails, and in the end, the hero accomplishes the journey with greater wisdom, knowledge, and reestablished views of the world that compensates for the horrors they encounter along the journey.
Grayce Wilson, my friend, would make a great knight. She is willing to take risks and she rarely shows that she is hurt in any way. She likes to be outdoors most of the time, she plays softball which also helps her be tough to have to take on the challenge of beating the other team. One word to describe her is strong. Grayce could do a lot, but she's home schooled so she doesn't really have public schooled friends.
In the book SteelHeart written by Brandon Sanderson the main character David Charlston is the main character, the book is very controversial against the Epics. The Epics are a group of just ordinary people who are somehow born or given powers at an older age by some unknown force. The Epics turned bad because of the greed and power that comes with it. If I was an Epic I would defeat all other Epics and turn the others good.
What is worth mentioning in Sophocles’ play is that he not only showed the weak side of women but also the strong ones. For example, Ismene is the traditional role of women in ancient Greek—coward, fear of men power and feeble. For Ismene, "we must remember we were born women, not meant to strive with men" (Antigone). She even chose to die with Antigone while hearing her sentence, for she was afraid that she would be alone, she could not be able to fight against Creon, this men-dominant society. In contrast, her sister Antigone presents the “women power”.
As for Beowulf, with his faith and courage, he makes a good example as a charismatic leader because he risks his life to avoid more killing and brings peace again to the
In The Odyssey an epic poem by Homer, Odysseus, a hero from Ithaca, is trapped on his way home from Athens and Troy. His son, Telemachus, goes on a journey looking for his lost father. Both son and father want to reclaim their house from the suitors who wish to marry Penelope, Odysseus’ wife. Genghis Khan, Choi Yuna, my brother, An Thai, and Odysseus have traits like strength, thoughtfulness, and attractiveness. People need heroes with these traits because they need role models and someone to guide them through life.
Do you know any epic heroes that show heroic qualities? Some heroes that you might be thinking of would be Batman, Spider-Man, or even Thor; but those aren't the epic heroes I'm talking about. I'm talking about the real heroes the ones who don't need any powers to achieve anything. The type of hero that does not need to fly or shoot lasers out of it's eyes. One hero that would be considered an epic hero would be Odysseus; you might not know who he is, well he's a character that comes out in the Iliad and the Odyssey.
In The Odyssey by Homer, the main character is portrayed to be a hero. To be heroic means to have courage and bravery. Also, it means that you're intelligent, you are a strategic, and you do what is right. In all, Odysseus exhibits many heroic qualities. Odysseus, the main character in The Odyssey, shows many of the heroic qualities.
“How could I live on alone, without my sister.” (Sophocles, page 32) She tries to take credit for the burial with Antigone. Ismene is distraught when Antigone rejects her and so she tries to appeal to Creon, asking him how he could kill his son’s bride-to-be. When Creon brushes off her pleas, he sentences her to be sent to the dungeons with Antigone.
There is no pure hero, as everyone has to make a choice between bad and worse at some point. Keep the story of John Proctor in mind, and remember that even heroes have
Ismene is very different from her sister Antigone. Antigone
These abilities are important as a warrior because both his men and the hero reflect and are influenced by them. Some of the abilities are excellence in war, courage, leadership and fighting qualities. These qualities are seen through the heroic characters Hector and Achilles. When Achilles is not present with his men, the Greeks are well defeated by the Trojans with no motivation or support. Achilles is also described by his men as a power figure when the poem says “These were his words,/ and all Achaeans gave a roar of joy/ to hear the Prince abjure his rage.”
The Iliad also spotlights the individual qualities of a Greek hero or non-hero. Numerous characters in the Iliad demonstrated exceptional qualities of a Greek person that was valued, such as bravery and helpfulness and that was disproved of like selfishness. One trait that is highly appreciated by the greeks in the Iliad is bravery. In battle Hector killed Achilles´s best friend Pactorlos in battle.
