In part six, I thought there was a lot of good information spread out in all of the chapters. The biggest thing that stood out to me were in chapter 25. I enjoyed the first sections that were expressed. I enjoyed the idea about how Jesus recruits heroes to join him in critiquing theocapitalism. Two of the YMCA’s biggest competitors may include Fitology and Planet Fitness. The documentary called The Hunting Grounds, had multiple concepts that relate to sociology. Using a sociological perspective, it was very prevalent to see the ways college campuses use patriarchy and gender stratification to keep women who have been sexually assaulted on campus from disclosing information or even getting help about these issues. Through the discrimination against women at these gender institutions the women formed a Feminist movement to bring awareness and help to the victims on campuses all around the world and to stop the assaults from reoccurring. The Hunting Grounds is a documentary that reveals the untold stories of women on college campuses and how these women have fought to have their voice heard about sexual assault on campuses. Sexual assault and rape on campuses has always been a major problem for colleges all over the world yet very little has been done to protect the students.

America had experienced other depressions or “panics,” but none were like the Great Depression. The Great Depression began on October 29, 1929, Black Tuesday, with the stock market crashing. Most people believe that the cause of the Great Depression was the stock market crashing. Although that is what triggered the Great Depression there were many underlying causes that lead up to the stock market crashing. Some of the underlying causes include under-consumption/over-production, uneven distribution of wealth, loose banking and corporate regulations, tariffs policies, and the stock market.
1. How does the discipline of geography provide a bridge between the social sciences and the physical science? Geography can be described as the most interdisciplinary of disciplines. Classical economics emphasises the fact free markets lead to an efficient outcome and are self-regulating. In macroeconomics, classical economics assumes the long run aggregate supply curve is inelastic; therefore any deviation from full employment will only be temporary. The Classical model stresses the importance of limiting government intervention and striving to keep markets free of potential barriers to their efficient operation. Keynesians argue that the economy can be below full capacity for a considerable time due to imperfect markets. Keynesians place a greater role for expansionary fiscal policy (government intervention) to overcome recession.

Long term economic developments may be identified with expansion, as inflations may increase. Inflations usually increase the cost of products on sale, and as the costs are higher, it will be an issue to the nationality in question to be able to buy their needs There is a limited amount of time involved in the growth of an economy as it involves an increase in GDP. The hypothesis and practice are both diverse. The hypothesis is the thing that economists are able to figure out for themselves; however, to be able to use the hypothesis in reality is the main task. Utilization of the hypothesis is something that really happens at some point.

Strengths: As a student one of my strengths is organization. I can say I can keep my school materials and notebooks organized in a way that I and others can comprehend. The reason I can say I am organized is because, I have hardly ever had in the past or present any issues with trying to find homework or assignments because I always kept my materials for each class organized and in a place I could easily find. Another strength I have is social skills. I can believe that I communicate with others well in a group.

Being an entrepreneur requires distinct personality traits such as having a risk-taking personality, need for achievement, internal focus of control, tolerance for ambiguity and having a type A behavior or striving to achieve more in less time and general competitiveness (Gilles and Mondejar, 2008). Entrepreneurship has been described as the “capacity and willingness to develop, organize and manage a business venture along with any of its risks in order to make a profit” (www.businessdictionary.com).
