"I am prepared to run for President of the United States." –Bernie Sanders
Bernie Sanders throughout the course of his life has spoken his mind, stood by what his beliefs and principles regardless of the consequences. For example, while at the University of Chicago he led a rally protesting university president George Wells Beadle's segregated campus housing policy in which he said "We feel it is an intolerable situation

The issues that in Mr.Sanders opinion that are the most important; reduce income and wealth inequality, and free college tuition, a fair and humane immigration policy, and fighting for Lesbians.Gays.Bisexual.Transgender (LGBT) and equality and war and peace. To establish wealth equality, he is wanting to create 1 million jobs for disadvantaged young Americans by investing $5.5 billion in a youth jobs program. In addition to that he will also enact a tax on Wall Street speculators who caused millions of Americans to lose their jobs, homes, and life savings. So by doing this more people that are in poverty can be successful in life and our middle class can …show more content…
These family's and children can make our nation grow and could lead to a larger and more profitable country. As for fighting for LGBT rights he wants to continue the great work of the State Department’s Special Envoy for LGBT Rights and make sure the United States helps protect the rights of LGBT people around the world. The people of this country deserve to have equal right no matter what sexuality the person may have. Lastly as president, he wants to move away from a policy of unilateral military action, and toward a policy of emphasizing diplomacy, and ensuring the decision to go to war is a last resort. We are a country that promotes safety for all but by starting wars we would be sending out the wrong message.
As well he includes himself as one who is affected by using ¨..as I do.¨ In his speech he states how ¨..it would increase the cost of homes, autos, appliances, and most other items for every American family.¨ By stating this he is appealing to everyone and saying that ¨I am one of you¨ we are the same. This makes
And I want to thank Bernie Sanders. Bernie, your campaign inspired millions of Americans, particularly the young people who threw their hearts and souls into our primary. You 've put economic and social justice issues front and center, where they belong. And to all of your supporters here and around the country: I want you to know, I 've heard you.
He basically want the whole nation to fight with the crises together as one and trust in his intention and future
"I love America. I love people. That’s why I’m doing this. I want to help make America better. I think having these conversations helps everybody have a better understanding of where everybody is coming from."
Bernie Sanders, a man running for President 2016, suggested an idea that would allow the lower class “to finally make a living wage”. He suggest that we take the current national minimum wage of $7.25 per hour and turn it into $15.00 per hour. He also goes on about how millions of Americans work up to 60 hours a week but fail to earn any overtime pay. He insures that any american that works up to these lengths shall then receive overtime and thus that is why he is supporter of the Obama Administration and its overtime pay protection. On top of this, Bernie also shows that he is a voice of the people states that he is supporter of equal pay for men and women and the Employee Free Choice Act.
Objective: The objective is to create a human-interest feature story on Marco Rubio. How he grew up humbly earning his way in politics through hard work and not connections. He is a great example of the American Dream because now he is running for President to complete that dream and be an example to his family. He has been seen in the past as too young or immature with his money but this will explain his humble start and paying back student loans. This feature story will show that Marco Rubio has never had any handouts and portrays him as a hard working family ma that wants to help America’s hardworking families.
He says stupid things, one of the MANY stupid things he has said is “ I will get stuff done”, now we all know that hasn’t happened and it probably never will. He has made many stupid laws. Like making it illegal some places to fly an American flag, because it offends Muslims. Especially gay marriage that is the worst thing any president, king, queen, or dictator has done, he just does not know anything. Welfare for all is one thing he does.
"Those who came to this land sought to build more than just a new country. They sought a new world. So, I have come here today to your campus to say that you can make their vision our reality" (Johnson). Towards the end of his speech, he aimed towards immigrants that came to America so they can have a fresh start and a better life. In other words, he wants to eliminate poverty for everyone not only Americans.
He wants us to reach for the stars in personal fulfillment and not wanting to be an average Joe. Social relevance, the accessibility to knowledge, and internal openness as I said earlier can help mold a brighter future in America, a future of honesty, integrity and
Poverty is a worldwide issue many people suffer with, narrowing it down to 14.5% of citizens in America, or more than 45 million. People raised in these conditions struggle to pay for transportation, proper medical aid, food, and clothing; usually surviving on a few dollars a day for either themselves or a full family. These issues make living in poverty seem like an infinite curse that holds onto their unfortunate victims until old age, but with the effort and determination needed and combined, people can find their way out of the stereotype and into success. Ben Carson, a now well-known neurosurgeon, makes his success almost dream-like; going from being raised in poverty and by a single mother, to becoming the first doctor to ever perform
He asked during an immigration debate, “Are we a nation that tolerates the hypocrisy of a system where workers who pick our fruit and make our beds never have a chance to get right with the law?” he asked. Later he added, “Whether our forebears were strangers who crossed the Atlantic, or the Pacific, or the Rio Grande, we are here only because this country welcomed them in.”(ny times)This is where the more emotional part of the President and some people come in. Bringing in some reason as to why they should be allowed to stay simply because they do so many things for us, why not give back with something as big as

Carson is acknowledging that, often times, economic issues just simply cannot be separate from social issues. He is rejecting the common thought at this event that you must deviate from economics and focus solely on social issues. Support— Carson called for a better educational system in the United States of America, addressed the national debt and his support of the flat tax, and referenced the health care in the country. He not only provided policy fixes for these issues but personal fixes as well, such as the individual decision to choose to stop making excuses for yourself despite your economic status and contributions to HSA accounts that will teach the indigent how to be responsible with their money. Transition— For all of the reasons, the national prayer breakfast was precisely the time for Carson to bring forth these policy issues.
He states, “We will defend our allies and our interests; we will show purpose without arrogance; we will meet aggression and bad faith with resolve and strength; and to all nations, we will speak for the values that gave our nation birth.” The repetition of “we will” brings determination, and inclusiveness towards the audience. Bush outlines what America will do as a country, not what he will do as an individual. The American people feel united with Bush as if they are all the same team. He avoids speaking out his own political aims that might be deemed as controversial.
He has enough problems to fight: poverty, corruption, family, education, and women; most probably in that order. He must want to have a changed society, the one where every child will live in a loving home with parents or guardians. A world where going to school is a routine, not a dream. A place where infrastructure and resources are used for the needs they are meant to address. A better world than the one he is living in.
