The book Night is a memoir written by Elie Wiesel. This memoir is about Eliezer, a young Jewish boy, and his experience of the Holocaust that killed about 12 million people. Weisel used conflict to convey the central idea not to be blind to the truth. One of the characters in the book is called Moshe the Beadle. The book ¨Night¨ is written by a Holocaust survivor and and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Elie Wiesel, who went through terrible things during his time in German captivity. The events were unforgettable and life changing. He stayed with his father through all of these tough times. He escaped the terror of the Holocaust turning him into a savage even though it caused attacks from prisoners and insanity.
The death march in Night by Elie Wiesel is started when all the prisoners were forced to leave the camp that they were at and relocate to a new camp. The night was very cold and snowy, and Elie’s foot was already hurt because of some pus that was in it. His only choice was to go on with the march on a hurt foot or stay in the camp and probably die anyways. He decided to go on the march because he wanted to be with his father and he didn’t want to die helplessly. At around six at night, the entire camp lines up in formation and they all started marching block by block.

During the Holocaust about 500,000 to 750,000 people were murdered due to their religion. Elie Wiesel was one of the people who survived this tragic event and wrote Night to bring attention and to inform about how it happened. The book Night is a nonfiction book about how Elie Wiesel lived in the town of Sighet as a child and was put into a concentration camp. He was put in a concentration camp because he is Jewish and was growing up during World War 2, when Hitler ordered the extermination of all Jewish people. This book is well written and fits all of my criteria for what makes a book worth reading.
“Night” was a non-fictional book written by Elie Wiesel. The story revolves around the author’s personal experiences regarding the Holocaust, the treacherous event where the Nazis heartlessly slaughtered the Jews. But why did the author name the book “Night”? Could it have been given some other title?
I’ll be talking about a book called “Night” it's about a jewish boy who goes threw the holocaust with his father. I will be talking about how food was a big part throughout the book and how they struggle to get it and how they use it to get thing or they give things to get it. In the beginning of the book it talks about how food is a big part but in the beginning it didn’t seem to hard in fact it talks about how each and every day they had bread and soup for the day. In the book it almost sounded easy to get it but it also talks about how they had to work to get the food they had.

---Rough Draft--- While we probably all know that the Holocaust was a horrible stain on the fabric of society, Elie Wiesel's book shows that the acts of the Nazi's are more horrible towards the Jews than some of us may have been led to believe. Elie originates from a town known as Sighet located in what was previously known as Transylvania. Though Sighet was not part of Germany or Hungary, they were still abused by the SS soldiers, by trapping them in fenced off ghettos. They also soon transported them in a terrible cattle car ride, and treated them like slaves. But the meat of the story takes place in the concentration camp(s), where they are given minimal amounts of food and judged like dogs to see if they are worth keeping.

Prior to being taken under the Nazi's rule, he decided to pursue Religious studies, as his father did. He grew up with his parents and three sisters. In the year 1944, when Elie was 15 years old, Nazi's took over Sighet and a few other areas, and transported the people to concentration camps in Poland. Millions of Jews were killed, and on April 10, 1945, Elie was in the camp of Buchenwald when freedom became present.
Holocaust The website " The Holocaust; Facts and Figures" says how approximately 6 million Jews were killed during the holocaust and about 1.1 million Jews were Killed too. Hitler was the leader of the Germans. Hitler would tell the Germans to kill the Jews, they attacked Jews because the Nazis considered them a race, also because they thought Jews were the cause of losing world war I. The Nazis also wanted some land so they thought that by getting rid of the Jews they would be able to keep their land.
Several months later, Moishe returns to Sighet with a warning to the people that the war had been drawing near, but nobody believed him. As the year passed, the Germans took over Sighet and its Jews with their tactics. They were moved to the Ghettos. The Ghettos were confined places where people had to live. Life was difficult in those situations.
