Remember those dark nights from your childhood when you were afraid of the boogeyman? He never did come out of your closet, but that doesn’t mean all monsters are make-believe. Meet Albert Fish: a real-life nightmare, who preyed upon children as if they were food.
Hamilton Howard Fish was born on May 19, 1870 in Washington D.C. He spent most of his childhood in an orphanage, his mother putting him there because she could not support him financially at the time. Fish was often beaten and treated sadistically at the orphanage and began to enjoy the pain. It had been known that the Fish family has a history of mental illness. By the age of 10,Albert was pulled out of the orphanage by his mother after getting a better job. By the age of 12 he

Fish was married in 1898 to a women whom his mother had arranged for him to marry. They had 6 children. He continued to rape and molest young children, mostly boys, after getting married. Fish was first arrested in 1903, because of grand larceny.
Unfortunately for Fish’s children, by 1917, Fish became a single father when his wife dumped him for another man. Later, his children said that Fish would have them beat him with a nail paddle for his enjoyment at about this time. Fish occasionally made his children eat raw meat for dinner. Fish’s early victims were usually mentally handicapped or black, whose disappearances would not be as publicized.
Fish used his “ Implements of Hell” on these victims, which consisted of a butcher knife, a small handsaw and a meat cleaver, which he would torture, mutilate and murder children with. Fish was arrested again in 1930 for writing one of his obscene letters to a woman. After his wife left him, he also began to engage in sadomasochistic acts and eventually inserted 29 needles into his pelvic

The 8 year old was reported missing by his parents. McDonnell’s friends and neighbor both saw him leave with an elderly man with a gray mustache. The body of Francis McDonnell was found hanging from a tree by his suspenders. The lower half of the body contained severe lacerations and most of the flesh on the left hamstring was missing. Fish later claimed that he was planning on castrating the boy, but could not continue because he heard somebody coming. The case was unsolved for many years, only resurfacing after the Grace Budd murder.
The Case of Billy Gaffney
On February 11, 1927, 4 year old Billy Gaffney disappeared while playing in an apartment hallway with a 3 year old neighbor. Initially, both were missing but the younger neighbor was found on the roof, uninjured. The neighbor, when questioned about Gaffery, said that “the boogeyman took him”. Although Gaffney’s body was never recovered, Fish admitted to the murder by writing a letter to his attorney. The letter stated that Fish raped and ate Billy. Fish said with the uneatable parts he flushed down the toilet.
The End of Albert
Up until he was 16, Antwone had to deal with abuse, verbally, physically, and sexually. This negatively affected Antwone because he had very low self esteem and was exceedingly shy for many years of his life. Although Antwone had a really terrible childhood and upbringing, he didn’t let that define him. Antwone Fisher grew up to serve his country by being in the Navy for 11 years and he continues to make an impact on young foster
INTRODUCTION The purpose of my research is to apply four theories, as learned during the course of our instruction, to the life and serial murders committed by Edmund Emil Kemper III. Kemper, a 6 foot 9 inch tall, 280 pound good looking and intelligent man, came to public knowledge in 1973, when he was arrested for the serial killings of six college age girls from Santa Cruz, California and also the murder of his mother and her close friend, who were located dead and dismembered, in closest of Edmund Kemper’s residence. Edmund Kemper, who was only twenty two years old when he made a phone call from a pay phone in Pueblo, Colorado to the Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Department and got into contact with Officer Jim Conner. Edmund Kemper,
Albert Fish “I like children, they are tasty(Fish)”. Albert was a serial killer. A serial killer is someone who has committed multiple murders. It takes a lot to be a cannibal and Fish was one of them. Cannibal is the act or practice of humans eating the flesh or internal organs of other human beings(Maria).
Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Psycho, and The Silence of the Lambs were all famous movies about serial killers. However, the mass-murdering psychopaths portrayed in these movies were all dreamed up because their creators were inspired by one man. Ed Gein was the man that inspired the birth of these murderers, and he is all too real. Edward Theodore Gein was born on August 27, 1906, in Plainfield, Wisconsin. His mother, Augusta Grafter, and his father, George P. Gein, were not exactly very good parents.
Perpetrator Information Hamilton Howard “Albert” Fish is a white male born on 5/19/1870. He is 5’5 and around 130 pounds with a thin body type that was strong for his old age. His hair was grey, thinning, and short with an unshaven face with a mustache. Light complexion and a well groomed appearance but otherwise just looks like a creepy defenseless old man. Fish had a calm and polite facade that he wore around others that he did not know that made him easily trustable to the public.
One day there was a kid named Billy bob. He was a very fat kid. He would even eat chicken without it being cooked. He was raised by his mom and dad. He was a single child.
At first, Fish was not a suspect in the disappearance of Grace, in fact, a different man was arrested and put into custody because he was the main suspect. Charles Edward Pope had spent 108 days in jail before they found him not guilty. Fish had been successful in his last known attempt to kidnap and eat a child. The murder of Grace Budd happened in 1928. It was not until 1934 that an anonymous letter arrived at the Budd home.
As creatures on Earth we are all given different emotions and feelings. To be happy in good times, sad in others, or angry at times of struggle. Nonetheless we were also given the feelings of fear which can be quiet terrifying for some individuals depending on what they are afraid of. When it comes to children there is a common fear of monsters and being left alone.
He states that he blamed his later vices on the cruelties he experienced there (Serial Killers 98). When Albert was whipped, he experienced erections towards which the orphans teased him about (Blanco). As an adult, Fish married and had six children. In 1917 his life came crashing down due to the fact that his wife left him for another man, Fish became abnormal, deviant, and absolutely strange. Being a nonconformist that Fish was, he was never able to conform to the life everyone else was experiencing and enjoying.
The hero of this novel is an old man named Santiago. This old man had a hard time fishing in the sea, he was unable to catch any fish in 84 days. There was a little boy named Manolin who loved the old man so much, and the secret behind the boy's love is that the old man taught him how to fish.
First off who is this Albert fish guy? Well, Albert fish was a serial killer whose killing spree spiked in the 20s. He was a cannibalistic serial killer which means that he also ate people. So let's start in the beginning Albert fish was born
Fishing is what really made him happy. The boy learned a lesson that many people still need to learn today. Do not let others influence the way one may act or speak. Be true to oneself, and happiness will
Alexander Hamilton became famous recently due to a man named Lin Manuel Miranda who made a musical about Alexander Hamilton. But there is more to Alex than what is told in the musical. Alexander's life and political career still influence us today. Alexander Hamilton was born January 11, 1757 on St.Croix, a British island in the Caribbean. Hamilton became an orphan at an early age due to his father abandoning the family and divorcing his mother.
The monster within If you asked different groups of people the question: “Did you have a terrifying monster hidden under your bed, or somewhere in your room when you were a child?” Most of them would probably answer affirmatively. But their idea of monster has surely changed from when they were children, and it will change again many times during the rest of their life. According to several literary examples and different studies, monsters impersonate humans’ fears. It’s fascinating to notice, then, how human fears have changed and keep on changing with the passing of time.
