EREPORT # 19279 stated the following: The incident happened in the last few days. The caregiver spanked the child with his open hand. Ezekial Goss, Jaqwon White 's older brother, told The Baptist Children 's Village case manager Lauren Douglas that his brother received a spanking. She informed BCV Campus Director Mark Mathis who contacted me.
When the child told the adult neighbor what happened, she called Mrs. Bryant; Mrs. Bryant told the neighbor she didn’t have time for that and hung the phone up. The reporter stated Lakirah called her grand father and he came to pick her up. Ms. Cullop stated that Lakirah stayed with her grandfather for the night and when her mother got off this morning she went to pick the child up. The reporter stated when the child and her mother got home, Mrs. Bryant whipped her with the same strap and Mr. Bryant, punched her down stairs, and threw a metal trash can at her. Ms. Cullop stated law enforcement was called to the school to take the child’s statement and they have also taken pictures of Lakirah’s bruises.
The family says they got some closure, but it is still bitter because they will never be able to see Cherita Thurman ever again. It is still unclear to the family as to why would Mr. Porter do
Later, he died. The police then drove to Bryant’s house to question

Most of these beatings were done by the men that Donald’s mother brought home throughout his childhood. Eulea Parrot later on married one of the men she brought home one day. Then, during the long and dreadful days of Donald and his sibling’s childhood, him and Donald’s mother continuously beat all of their children mentally, physically, and even sexually. All of this was done just because of the children simply being
In Adrian Peterson’s case, I decided that his action did reflect abuse. I began to research more about the details about this case and found that Peterson disciplined his four-year-old child using a tree branch. The hitting with the tree branch did result in multiple bruises and lacerations surrounding the boy’s body. Peterson publicly admitted that he did discipline his son because he pushed his brother while playing video games (Bonesteel, 2016). Abuse is defined as the “knowing, intentional, negligent” harmful punishment given to a child and physical abuse refers to hurting the minor with “objects that leave marks” (Cauffman, 2018).
The kids love their parents for who they are but sometimes are embarrassed by their parent's actions. After being in dangerous situations, and dealing with their parents not being responsible they realize
The funeral was set for next week. Two-bit thought it would be a good idea to tell Johnny’s parents about it. Although I knew Johnny wouldn’t want them there. Johnny would always tell me how much he despised his dad and his mom didn’t care much about him either. I always wondered how it would be to live with deadbeat parents.
As an example, when the family goes to the park, they inform the children how and when to cross the road. However, there are occasions I noticed that they take their time to intervene, especially when the children are engaging in risky behaviour. As an example, on one occasion, I saw Damien eating while lying on the floor. I immediately intervened and told him that he should sit up as he risked choking from the food he was eating. This was, however, an isolated incident.
The boys decided to go swimming, however O’Brien excused himself by saying he was headed to Garvey Salomon’s house. A little bit later around 8p.m., Janet’s other son Paul visited the home briefly before he headed out for the night. At this time, Janet was still asleep on the
Unfortunately, they went missing right after the crime was committed. The cops were planning to search in Texas, but Johnny, Ponyboy, and Dallas Winston, 17, recently checked into the hospital. When asked what happened Ponyboy said, “We(Johnny and I) caught a train to Windrixville and stayed in an abandoned church. We left to eat, but when we came back the
This is a pure sign of the dishonesty and carelessness that Jordan acquires. It really goes to show that Jordan would ruin someone’s property and then completely lie about it, while with Nick, who was someone she was interested in pursuing a relationship with. It makes one wonder what
"Child Abuse and Neglect" says that Physical abuse can include "striking a child with the hand, fist, or foot or with an object, burning, shaking, pushing, or throwing a child; pinching or biting the child, pulling a child by the hair or cutting off a child’s air." However, physical abuse is considered to be a use of punishment in wrecked as well as normal families such as the use of physical force with the intent of inflicting bodily pain, but not injury, for the purpose of correction or control or discipline. Yet, there is a thin line between physical punishment and abuse which many parents seem to lack notice of. "Child Abuse and Neglect" explains that the level of force used by an angry or frustrated parent can easily get out of hand and lead to injury. Emotional or verbal abuse is one of the worst forms of mistreatment due to its invisibility.
Growing up my parents ran a daycare in(at) our house so I was always surrounded by children (the good and the bad). My parents were the type who had no problem enforcing physical punishments such as spanking, the flick of the hand, a pop on the mouth, etc. All these punishments are within the definition of acceptable punishment as stated by Oklahoma law (qtd. ---). They practiced this on me, my siblings, and the daycare kids (with parental consent).
