Throughout Western Europe, Africa, and the Americas, a lot has changed through the years of 1492 and 1750, there has been slave trade and several explorations set out to search for a New World, the countries had both differences and similarities throughout the years. As the years went by, the countries expanded and had several trading posts and trading ideals throughout all three of the areas. The countries all had the influence of the Columbian Exchange, which provided supplies and food for all of the countries to flourish and each place had the expansion or spread of religions and the use of maps, as they were sent out across the globe for the world to use. The population grew throughout Western Europe because of a trade route called the Columbian Exchange, this exchange of goods allowed for the nutrition to go up throughout the villages of Western Europe during this time. Sometime after the tragedy of the bubonic plague, there were explorations that were supported by many countries, but the one that is most famous for it is Spain because that was the country that produced Christopher Columbus and sponsored his travels. As the explorations went on, explorer after explorer, there was a New World that was found or founded, this area is known today as the Americas. In the Americas explorers established colonies, like the one John Smith founded, the town of Jamestown. Slaves were exported from the country of Africa because the need to grow and harvest sugarcane became very large, and so the need for people to do the labor increased. Although the population wasn’t that large, it rapidly increased with the exchange of goods through the Columbian Exchange. The growth in population meant that the need for slaves or the desire to have slaves was specific to their region. In the Americas, the people who were the slaves were either enslaved natives or slaves that were sent to the Americas from Africa in order to be used for labor. It would be an understatement to say that 1492 was a relatively important year in world history. Despite the relative shortness of a year when compared to time period of century, the year 1492 is exceptionally important, as it can be argued that without the events that transpired in that year, multitudes of other events may not have occurred until later; because of the extra time it would take for the area to be discovered, some events may not transpire at all. The arrival of Columbus in the Caribbean led to various other expeditions and events, such as the formation of the encomienda system, the colonization of the surrounding areas, and the exchange of products between the New and Old Worlds known as the Columbian Exchange. Between 600 CE to 1750 CE, the process by which trade was conducted on the Indian Ocean changed dramatically. With the new maritime knowledge in the Indian Ocean, larger ships were able to connect Africa to the rest of the Indian Ocean network, leading to merchant Diaspora which continued throughout the era. From 1000 CE to 1400 CE, African city-states began to grow and led to an intensified trading network throughout the Indian Ocean. With this increase in cross-cultural interaction, new technology, ideas and diseases were exchanged.

The college board’s decision to shift to a consensus perspective more accurately reflects the era of 1491- 1607, because both Europe and North America were homes to complex and diverse societies with their own distinctive cultures. Therefore, each group adopted and improved aspects of each other’s culture, skills and interacted from the beginning. Even though they both had unique and individual ideas and beliefs about gods, they still shared some similarities. Misunderstandings and differences between the Europeans and Native Americans resulted in years of interaction. Each continent was diverse, different and unique on it’s own.
By the year 1000 through the year 1300, the climate changed to a much warmer than usual weather. During this age, the productivity of food and other materials were at their highest. However the years after 1300 saw a cold unlike any before, it was called the little ice age. The little ice age lasted from 1300 to 1450, but in between that time frame, the crops and livestock were dying at an unbelievable rate, it left Europe in complete disarray. The prices of food increased to astronomical prices, with fewer food intake, it left people weakened and more susceptible to disease.
In the 1800, 6 to 7 million black slave came to be used for plantation and help them build their new nation. They helped grow two main things tobacco and cotton they had about 4 million slaves for the tobacco and for cotton they had about 2 million slaves. They said that were going to be used for labor source and the colonists became slaves to. It all started when 20 African Americans got brought into the poorer slavery they didn’t have enough people to grow the cotton and tobacco so they had to get more that’s when they brought a whole bunch of black people across the Atlantic Ocean.
The Columbian Exchange was extremely important to the New World and Old World during 1492. It was the exchange of new foods, diseases, and ideas. These foods would help people live healthier and longer, the diseases would kill out a lot of the population, and the ideas would advance trading and money making. This would make the Americas as we know them today a strong country.
The Middle East underwent many changes yet some continuities between 600 to 1450 c.e.. The Middle East during the time of 600 c.e. was the first spread and start of Islam which stated a change reaction for the religion, but it also started a new type of rule from controlling city- states to caliphs. The economy also changed from using agriculture only in the Middle East to trading through the Indian Ocean. The Middle East in the 600 to 1450 c.e. changed from their ruling tactics, the continuity of their religion, Arabic language, and women’s rights, and their trade. In the 600c.e the Middle East use to be ruled by controlling citr- states which controlled the city and surrounding areas.
After the discovery of the Americas in 1492 by Christopher Columbus, the Americas and Europe begin to trade. New World products like corn, tomatoes, potatoes, chocolate, hot peppers, gold, silver, and jewels, all made their way to Europe, and Africa. These products were so revolutionary, they provided substance for thousands of Europeans. Russia and Ireland gained a stable reliable crop that would grow in their soil, Italy found a fruit they could not live without, the rich from all of Europe found a decadent drink that hit the spot every time. The Old World had things to trade such as pigs, chickens, horses, worms, bees, flu, smallpox, the black plague, dysentery, and people.
During the early 1400’s European exploration initiated changes in technology, farming, disease and other cultural things ultimately impacting the Native Americans and Europeans. Throughout Columbus’ voyages, he initiated the global exchange that changed the world. The exchange of plants, animals, and diseases between the Old and New World began soon after Columbus returned to Spain from the Americas. These changes had multiple effects, that were both positive and negative. Although the Columbian Exchange had numerous benefits and drawbacks but the drawbacks outweighs the benefits.

In the 1500’s, Europeans start exploring new parts of the world that they would change forever. Places like the Americas, Africa, and Asia, with rich cultures, wealth, and their own governments would soon be introduced to new religions, trade, disease, and medicine. The age of exploration moved ideas and different cultures all around the world. The Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, and English were the main players in the age of exploration. With new ideas come new problems.
