As you can see, both 911 and the Pearl Harbor attacks were both tragic events that has a huge impact to america with both similarities and differences. Both events were “sneak events,” no one knew they were going to happen. Both events happened because of foreign attackers. Both events were attacked by planes. The 911 attack was more of a symbolic attack, the world trade center represented the U.S. free market economy. The Pearl Harbor attack was to hope to eliminate the fleet of ships so japan can expand. Although, it really doesn 't matter which attack is more important or more damageable. Both attacks were a tough time for the U.S. and both killed and wounded a lot of innocent people. The 911 attack led a war against Al-Qaeda till 2012. The Pearl Harbor attack didn’t last long but eventually it led the United States to enter world war II two years later. Both these events left the nation in shock and took quite a while for everything to get back to normal. Of course, these events have not been forgotten. It 's just sad how both these events have led to more terrorism acts in the world. We will never forget the tough times this nation has gone through and even if there will be more times this nation will struggle, we the people will be there to try and restore justice. We the people will be there ready to fight back. We the people will be there helping out our country. Many people lost their loved ones on these tragic events. To that i say god bless these people and god bless
The September 11 attacks were a well-planned and destructive attack on the United States. The attacks were the deadlest ever to happen on American Soil. What happened in 9\11? On the morning of September 11, 2001.
September 11th, 2001. A tragic day for Americans. The 9/11 attacks were a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks by an Islamic terrorist group al Qaeda on the morning of Tuesday, September 11th, 2001. Americans became more weary about their security and defense as these attacks were a big ego breaker. Americans were happy and proud because they had just succeeded in the Vietnam War.
The attack on Pearl Harbor was devastating for America, but how bad was it? There were 2 waves of Japanese bombers that attacked Pearl Harbor, killing over 2000 people and sinking 7 battleships, but luckily none of the oil storages were damaged. Pearl Harbor should not be forgotten, and it was the turning point of WWII, forcing America to join the war. December 7, 1941, on a Sunday, on the radar 2 waves of planes were flying to Pearl Harbor, but they thought they were visiting but unexpectedly they started bombing Pearl Harbor. People panicking and soldiers weren 't even out of bed when the bombings happening in the battleships, 7 battleships sunk, 347 aircrafts destroyed, and over 3000 people were dead or wounded.
The terrorist attack that occurred on Sept 11, 2001 was the deadliest hit on American soil since Pearl Harbor. This horrific act of terrorism has and forever will have a lasting impact on our national security policies, our economy and our perception of the Muslim community. Osama Bin Laden orchestrated a very strategic, methodical terror attack on the US that resulted in nearly 3000 souls perishing on that fateful day.
In both events of Pearl Harbor and 9/11 had a damaging effect on our country. We were terrified and frightened for what could happen next. Pearl Harbor occurred on December 7, 1941 at the Hawaiian territory. 9/11 occurred on September 11, 2001 at New York City. The Pearl Harbor attack was caused from a feud we were having with Japan.
The attacks on September 11 produced a greater fear of terrorism than ever before. The masterminds responsible for the attacks on September 11 executed a plan that killed about three thousand people. Bin Laden was prompted by his prejudice against the United States, among multiple other reasons. After the attacks, many people showed a simple act of patriotism by flying the American flag.
September 11, 2001, is a significant date in modern history as it marks the day when a series of coordinated terrorist attacks occurred in the United States. The attacks, commonly referred to as 9/11, were carried out by the Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda. The attacks resulted in the deaths of nearly 3,000 people from more than 90 countries. The World Trade Center's Twin Towers were completely destroyed, and a significant portion of the Pentagon was severely damaged. The attacks had a profound impact on the United States and the world, leading to significant changes in domestic and international policies, particularly in terms of counterterrorism measures.
Do you remember the day that changed America forever? Two hijacked planes crashed into the side of the Twin Towers in New York City killing thousands. Another plane went into the pentagon and the last was stopped before it got to its destination. In the afternoon of September 11, 2001 George W. Bush delivered a speech that gave relief to the American people after the massacre. This was a disturbing moment in our history that shook the very foundation of America.
However Japan was responsible for attack on Pearl Harbor. 9/11 and the attack on Pearl Harbor are similar because they were both terrorist attacks. They were both surprise attacks. Both of these attacks were unprovoked. Besides all of these similarities they also have differences.
On the other hand, many of the men in George W. Bush’s administration, such as Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz and Vice President Dick Cheney were members of the “Project for the New American Century,” or PNAC. The members of PNAC called for a new aggressive military foreign policy for the U.S. However, the members of this organization knew that Congress or the American people “absent a catastrophic and catalyzing event like a new Pearl Harbor” would not accept this idea As a result the “New Pearl Harbor” and the original ended up being a blessing in disguise for FDR and PNAC. Despite the fact that Pearl Harbor and 9/11 have many similarities, they are still drastically different. For example, the Japanese attack was well thought out, clearly tactical, and its success depended on the predictability of the United States, which had been observed for months.
I. Introduction A. Attention Getter: Tuesday September 11th 2001 started off like any other day. Men and women prepared themselves for another work day and school children settled in their seats for a day’s lesson. But before the mornings of people’s everyday life could begin, a tragic incident occurred, killing thousands of American citizens and breaking the hearts of many more. B. Thesis: The World Trade Center crashes were significant in many different ways to the U.S. and when they were destroyed, American citizens were stunned and heartbroken. C. Main Points: 1.
Terrorist campaigns were climbing in decades prior to 9/11. A group of terrorists attacked New York’s World Trade Center on February 26, 1993. The aim of this attack was to drive two bomb loaded trucks into the basement of a building to bring down both of the towers of the World Trade Center. The mission was not accomplished, but the attack did kill six people. The organizer of this attack was Ramzi Yousef, whose uncle went on to be the operational commander of the attack at the World Trade Center on 9/11.
What if 9/11 never happened? First of all, what is 9/11? The September 11 attacks also known as 9/11 was a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks by the terrorist group al-Qaeda on the United States on the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001.
It showed that even the most powerful country in the world was subject to attack. This attack exposed the vulnerability of the United States as a nation. The 9/11 attacks changed the country forever; some lost family members, friends, and those who survived are forever hunted by the events of September 11, 2001. The entire country was in pandemonium including my family.
The morning of Tuesday September 11, 2011 is one of the biggest tradgies of all time. On this specific day four airlines were hijacked by an Islamic group that goes by the name al-Qaeda.
