The Sovereignty of God is the biblical teaching that all things are under God’s rule and control, and that nothing happens without His direction or permission. The Sovereignty of God versus the accountability of Man is the most evident issue in both The Book of Job in the King James Version of the bible and J.B. by Archibald MacLeish. Although J.B. is a modern reinterpretation of The Book of Job, both similarities and differences are evident.
