The (2-4) Dallas Cowboys will host the (3-4) Seattle Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon 3:25 CT. Somehow some way the Cowboys need to find a way to win couple games until Tony Romo returns on Nov 22nd against the Dolphins. It all starts with Sunday, this team is currently on a four game losing streak for the first time since 2010. By no means is this team pancaking, but the urgency to win is at an all-time high right now. Last week's game against the Giants even with the loss this team showed some positive signs, the defensive played well, the offensive line looked like the offensive line from 2014, running game was finally good, and despite the turnovers the passing game seemed a little better with Matt Cassel at quarterback. I think with another week with the receivers Matt will learn more about each wide-receiver, which in return will help turn those turnovers into a minimum, or none at all on Sunday. Cassel also could be getting a great player back that …show more content…
I think one of the big reasons why is when they traded their veteran center Max Unger to New Orleans Saints for tight end Jimmy Graham. It seems like he brought that veteran leadership for them as well as made most of the protection calls for quarterback Russel Wilson, as well as for the offensive line. According to PFF the Seahawks are the third worst run-blocking unit, in addition to being ranked last in pass-protection. Seattle's offensive line is giving up 4.4 sacks per game. That's not good as a team for your quarterback to be sacked that many times per game. The fact that Seattle's offensive line has a left guard Justin Britt who played right tackle last year, Garry Gilliam who plays right tackle was a former college tight end, and center Drew Nowak right guard J.R. Sweezy both played defensive tackle in college, you can understand why this offensive are one of the worst in the league, as well as just not very
The NFL is one of the most popular sports down south. In the NFL there are lots of player that don’t succeed. Players in college play very hard to make it to the NFL. The NFL draft is a great thing they have come up with now so the sorry teams that are in the NFL can get some talent now. I really like the punters they are very talented and they are very overlooked. this debate was started when Jon Ryan the seahawks punter went on the T.V. show American Ninja Warrior. he did not move on but this stirred up the Question of are Punters Overlooked
I know they have lost Jordy Nelson (Wide Reciever #87) for the whole season with a torn ACL (during preseason) and that 's really tough! Now, mind you the Packers are still managing without him, but it 's not the same! Aaron Rodgers (Quarterback #12) has been just handing the ball to Eddie Lacy (Running Back #27) and even though he is a huge guy with a lot of talent, it doesn 't always help the Packers much to only move 5 or 10 yards in one play. Also Rodgers like to throw to Davante Adams
For the first time since 1990, the New York Giants are the reigning Super Bowl champions. Their thrilling victory over the 18-0 New England Patriots is already being called one of the greatest football games every played. Even casual football fans found themselves following the ups and downs of Big Blue last season. It all started when bookie Tim Mara bought the New York Giants in 1925 for a whopping $500 and then almost went bankrupt when they lost their first three games. Six years later, Mara passed team ownership to his sons Jack and Wellington.
In the past few years, the number of concussions per year has only spiked. The NFL calls it a “cultural change” in that the staff are more willing to report head injuries instead of neglecting them. However, to many like Christopher Nowinski- one of the founders of the Concussion Legacy foundation- this increase just shows that the NFL does not care to prevent head injuries, only treat them when they are developed. The number of concussions between the 2013 and 2014 season actually increased by 58
Football is generally a very dangerous sport, especially at the college level. The players are taking very high risks and are not being compensated for it. According to the Abc news article, “college players
The Giants may have signed the best free agent of this class in Olivier Vernon. This is the same man who gave Tyron Smith fits last year in Miami. Many fans are upset that the Cowboys didn't make a push for Vernon. Fans are also upset for losing out on potential additions Nolan Carroll, Adrian Clayborne, Leon Hall, Chris Long, Eric Weedle and Matt Forte.
With many rule changes and progressive steps to prevent concussions the NFL knows there’s an issue but to make that issue the main focal point of what already is known to be a violent game isn’t rational. Brain injuries and concussions happen in every sport, the NFL is
Kids these days are very competitive and always want the best advantage they can get. Parents and their children even coaches all agree on letting the kids play at young age so it can't be so effective. The article "Study of former NFL players highlights risks of tackling too young" states that "NFL players who started playing Tackle football before age 12 performed an average of 20 percent worse on a series of cognitive tests than those who started playing tackle football after they have celebrated their 12th birthdays. " This shows that Kids can keep starting at a young age and at a risk that might not affect them in the future. Kids will do anything for the extra
The novel, The Day the Cowboys Quit, by Elmer Kelton is not a typical cowboy story filled with waving guns and violent fights. Instead, this story shows what the real life of a cowboy would have been like through the story of Hugh Hitchcock. The Day the Cowboys Quit is based on a cowboy strike that occurred in Tascosa, Texas in 1883. Kelton based his fictional story on the causes of the strike and what became as a result of the strike. This paper will explain historical events concerning the cowboys and depict their true lifestyle which contrasts the stereotypes normally associated with being a cowboy, as well as summarize the novel The Day the Cowboys Quit.
The Packers’ run defense was ranked dead last through the first half of the 2014 season, giving up an average of 176 rushing yards per game through week 4. Defensive coordinator Dom Capers made sure that changed. After Green Bay’s week 9 bye, they move outside linebacker Clay Matthews to inside linebacker to help stop the run. The next week, the Packers beat the Bears in a lopsided game, 55 to 14. Chicago averaged only 2.3 yards per carry that game.
“When the world says give up hope whispers try it one more time.” Tim Tebow Sometimes in life things happen that you have no control over, and can cause a roadblock in life that you just can 't get over. That is what happened to me. One day I goggled inspiration quotes and that one came up. I didn’t know who Tim Tebow was or what he did so I researched him.
Mostly because there is no definitive answer to what causes the amount of reported concussions to rise or fall over the years. Regardless there is more research needed, and the NFL is conducting further research to better address the issue of
Breaking over 9 Quarter Back records, and potentially various more in the future, people either hate or love New England Patriot Quarter Back, Tom Brady. Generally speaking, there is no between. The real question is: "to hate or not to hate" this record-breaking beast, with 4 Super Bowl rings on his hand. Simple; not to hate. With scandals such as "Deflate Gate," and "Spy Gate,"Tom Brady has been accused of cheating several times.
