Resolute, dependable, and accomplished; adjectives that can be used to describe the true essence of the Class of 2017. Over the last thirteen years, Hanover High School’s Class of 2017 has left a remarkable, but unique, impact as scholars, athletes, musicians, performers, volunteers, and leaders. Most, if not all of us, have experienced many setbacks and successes that have shaped us into the highly talented group of individuals that we are today.

Looking back to our first day of Kindergarten in August of 2005, we had to overcome a considerable obstacle... leaving our parents and guardians to embark on a new adventure. Some of us had tears in our eyes and did not want to let go of our parent’s hands, while others bounded into the school excitedly. The day before school high school would officially start, our Freshman Link Crew Orientation took place. We spent the day meeting upperclassmen, familiarizing ourselves with our schedules and the layout of the building, learning the Waddaly Atcha dance with Mr. Koishal, and playing team building games. Thanks to orientation, which had left a lasting and positive impression on us, we were more prepared for our first day of high school. The first day of high school, a momentous stepping stone, began the last phase of our journey together. After spending four years in middle school, many of us were ready for the freedom high school brought; however, we were not entirely expecting the high standards that high school holds. All of the work, all of the clubs and activities, and all of the freedom made our heads spin. As the days flew past, our class quickly learned to adjust and therefore thrive in our new environment, and the high school became our new
