“Every once in a while, a new technology, an old problem, and a big idea turn into innovation” this quote by Dean Kamen explains that when there is a problem we create new technology to solve this problem, and when we create new technology we have innovation. This was like the 1920’s as problem turned into innovation. The 1920’s was a time of advancement from new inventions used in and outside the home, to technology that changed everyday life which impacted the decades to come.

“Technology transformed the structure of the economy” after inventors invented the technology they did nothing was the same people everywhere were awoken to a new light (Cooley). Once people saw what was possible it sparked something it sparked people to think more of what they could accomplish to try something even though someone else had not previously tried it. One of the major technology advancement was the advancement in medicine which “extended life expectancy” (“1920’s medicine”). With new ideas about medicine it not only “saved thousands of lives” but it “encouraged “doctors to begin new research” (“1920’s medicine”). “Antibacterial drugs and Sulfa drugs were released” this helped people live longer and it helped people to become more resistant to sickness and diseases without this there could have been another pandemic which could have kill thousands of people (“1920’s medicine”). Another life saving drug was Insulin “Insulin was used to help people with diabetes control their blood sugar which could be deadly if it wasn't under control” (“1920’s medicine”). Technology saved many lives and improved just as many without the technological advancements in the 20’s many people would have died, gotten sick and not had an as enjoyable life as they did because of
