Flags of Our Fathers is a movie that showed what the ordeals throughout the battle of Iwo Jima and how it impacted our country. The Battle of Iwo Jima was between the date of February 19,1945- March 26, 1945.In the movie, it shows that the battle of Iwo Jima was a battle between the United States and the Empire of Japan. This battle was a major battle in which the U.S. Marines landed on and eventually captured the island of Iwo Jima from the Japanese Imperial Army during World War II. It beholds many memories and achievements of our country. As a turning point in our history the battle of Iwo Jima started off with the battle of Pearl Harbor so therefore it was much hatred between Japan and America. As a result, years later Iwo Jima came along.
