Coach Gary Gaines. In the movie “Friday Night Lights” has a speech or two throughout the movie. “Being Perfect” is the speech that is really appealing to my eye. “Being Perfect’s” purpose is to inform you that it doesn't take much to be perfect. This speech in not your normal locker room speech. He speaks with confidence allowing all the players to know he cares and believes in them. Emotion pours out as he shows his eagerness and determination towards their last two quarters of their season. He refers to the word “Perfect” throughout his entire speech repeating the word formatted into various definitions only strengthening the meaning and message that is being sent to the players.
