Galileo Galileo was a amazing scientist with amazing discoveries. We only think what could’ve been if he wasn’t under house arrest ⅛ of his life. Galileo was a very important mathematician, astronomer, and physicist. He made many major contributions to science. Galileo was one of the most revolutionary scientists ever and has affected current scientists with his findings. There are many life facts about Galileo. He was born in Italy on February 15, 1564 and January 8, 1642. Next he had to leave his school because of money in 1585(Britannica school…). He then had three unofficial sons and daughters. They were unofficial because he thought that they would affect his image(Biography.com editors). Also worked blind from 1637 to his death(Britannica
Autumn Stern Galileo Trial Summary + Copernicus Write Up In the early 17th century, there was no doubt that the Catholic church held extreme power throughout Europe. They also held to the geocentric theory (all planets, heavenly bodies and the sun revolving around the earth) put forth by Ptolemy and Aristotle because of how neatly it could fit into the current teachings. Unlike this theory, however, Galileo enforced Copernicus’ heliocentric theory with inductive reasoning rather than deductive. Galileo made observations about the moons of Jupiter and their orbit around Jupiter, which he likened to a smaller version of their solar system.
Galileo's discoveries were, to a great extent, a turning point in astronomy and science. His development with the telescope helped further the understanding of the universe, and his investigation of the laws of motion provided fundamental contributions to science. However, due to the power of the Catholic church, his impact on science did not happen immediately. Born in Pisa, Galileo was a true renaissance man, excelling at many different endeavours. He was an Italian philosopher, mathematician, physicist and astronomer, and is credited for laying the foundations of modern science.
Artist, inventor, and original Renaissance man, Leonardo da Vinci, began painting his portrait of an Italian nobleman's wife in 1503 and completed it some years later, probably around 1507. The painting was originally a commissioned work, but da Vinci didn't sell it to the man who requested it (possibly because he hadn't finished it yet!). Instead, he kept it and still had it in his possession when he arrived in France at the court of King Francois I, around 1516. The French monarch eventually purchased "Mona Lisa" from da Vinci.
Galileo galilie was conceived on 15 febuaray 1564.he was an Italian space expert , physicists ,geographer, engineer, philosopher and mathematician.he palyed a noteworthy part in exploratory revolution.he was conceived in pisa a city of Italy.galileo turned into an early refined lutentist and more bona fide then his father.galileo had five sibling and sisters.when Galileo was eight his family moved to Florence . he had his initial educating from Camaldolese Monastery , 35 km southeast of Florence. Galileo was named after a predecessor, Galileo Bonaiuti, a doctor, college educator and lawmaker who lived in Florence from 1370 to 1450; around then in the late fourteenth century, Galileo father's needed him to get enlisted in restorative college at
Galileo’s life before fame from the telescope Galileo Galilei was born on February 15, 1564. He was born in Pisa, Italy and had two sisters and one brother. Galileo’s father was a music teacher and did not make much money. Just ten years after Galileo was born, his family moved to Camaldolese monastery and was educated by monks. Interestingly enough, Galileo did not only study astronomy but when he was only 17 years old, he started studying medicine.
The Galileo Project provides information on Galileo’s instruments, such as the thermometer and the telescope. Although Galileo did not invent these instruments, he did improve the original designs. With this information, it is easy to explain how Galileo improved tools to make them more advanced and useful. Furthermore, Galileo’s notable discoveries from these tools and from his own experiments are provided. Not only is Galileo’s discovery of Jupiter’s four moons included, but his experiments to determine the accuracy of Aristotle’s theory of motion is also covered on this website.
In a letter to Cristina of Lorraine, the Grand Duchess of Tuscany, Galileo gives a perfectly sound and rational argument as to why the church should not be charging him as a heretic for his belief in the heliocentric model when the bible is going against what they see with their own eyes. Furthermore, Galileo argues that, contrary to popular belief at the time, the bible should only be used to help us understand abstruse concepts and what is needed for salvation, not to explain the natural world. In a lot of ways, Galileo’s argument paves the way for separation between church and state, as well as the age-old conflict between science and religion that is still discussed even till today. However, what I found interesting here is that Galileo actually believed that his beliefs went hand in hand with the bible. He tries to justify his beliefs according to the bible by arguing that God gave us a brain in order
Isaac Newton Isaac Newton was born on January 4, 1643 in Woolsthorpe, United Kingdom. Newton was the only son of a local yeoman. He was not expected to live to survive his first day of life, much less 84 years. Deprived of a father before birth, he soon lost his mother as well. Barnaba Smith left young Isaac with his grandmother and moved to a neighbouring village to raise a son and 2 daughters.
Leonardo da Vinci was born on Saturday of April 15, 1452, at 3 o'clock in the morning at Vinci city. Not far from the City of Florence In the region of Tuscany Northern Italy An illegitimate child of the investigator, a legal document signed Sebastian Piero good Antonio with a peasant woman named Caterina Caterina Unknown currency name goers therefore include Leonardo great Sebastian Piero da Vinci. that Mr. Singh's son Piero from Vinci Leonardo Vinci was died on Sunday of May 2, 1519 in France.
Leonardo da Vinci did not become the man he is known for today overnight but he controlled his own destiny. Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci was born on April 15th, 1452 in Vinci, Italy. He was what people would consider a bastard child because his parents were not married when he was born. Da Vinci was raised by his father, Messer Piero Fruosino di Antonio da Vinci until the age of five where he was sent to live with his grandparents.
Galileo was a well known astronomer and physicist during the time of the Renaissance. He was born on February 15, 1564 in Pisa, and died in Arcetri on January 8, 1642. Galileo attended the University of Pisa where he studied medicine. However, He became more interested in astronomy and physics and decided to make that his profession. Before Galileo, the solar system was a mystery to everyone.
We all know Isaac Newton for his famous laws of motion and being a scientist. Although, some might not know that Newton was also a famous mathematician. He made great discoveries and later, showed the world by publishing books. Newton had a lot of time to think and he was very patient. But then again, he was a little self centered and obnoxious.
Isaac Newton got knighted by Queen Anne in 1705 and was then called the “Sir Isaac Newton.” In the mid 17th century Newton discovered calculus. During 1642-1726 Newton was doing experiments (that got published) of a prism that reflected light. Sir Isaac Newton died
When he had arrived at the school he had the Scientific Revolution of the 17th century was already in full force. In the three years he was at the University he had been taught the standard curriculum but he was interested in it, so he wanted to go into more advance science. On his free time, he went to read the modern philosophers. He didn’t do good in his course but he started to take notes , in those notes he uses to called them "Quaestiones", because of that he had discovered the a new concept of nature and provided the framework for the Scientific Revolution. Although he didn’t graduate with honors but he won an award for the title of the scholar and four years of financial support of future education.
Sir Issac Newton and Galileo Galilei were two of the most leading scientist of 17th century. Unfortunately, the two were never able to work together as Issac Newton was born the same year Galileo died, 1642. One thing is for sure, between the two there was a storm of scientific revolution under way. I will begin with the earlier revelations of Galileo. Considered the father of modern science, Galileo made major contributions to the fields of physics, astronomy, cosmology, mathematics and philosophy.
