You’re smart and athletic and are a danger to society. You are too superior for the rest of your community.You must be just as intelligent and just as athletic as the rest of your community. You must be equal.This is exactly what Harrison Bergeron goes through at the young age of 14 years old in the story “Harrison Bergeron” and in the movie 2081. He is taken away from his family and put into prison where he is handicapped and locked away from the world.“Harrison Bergeron” by Kurt Vonnegut and 2081 are similar because Harrison dies in both, but they are different because in the book Hazel, his mother watches him die, but in the movie George, his father watches him die.

These two works are similar because in both the book and the movie Harrison dies and his parent see it.For example in the book “Harrison Bergeron” you will read at the end that Harrison gets shot on the stage and his parent see’s it and the TV goes off.(26)This is similar to the movie because just like the book, in 2081 you see Harrison get shot while on stage and you see Harrison’s parent watch him die on TV.(26)Although these stories are similar, they also have differences In the movie 2081, we also see that George, Harrison’s father, watches Harrison get shot and forgets what happens right after because his handicap goes off when he remembers Harrison and a loud noise goes off and makes him forget all about it.This
