Hi Nakia,
I totally agree with your statement about the fifth amendment. The fifth amendment is a part of the Bill of Rights that protects the rights of anyone accused of a crime and secure life, liberty and property. It requires that a citizen cannot be accused of a serious crime without a grand jury investigation. As well, it also forbids double jeopardy as you said the act of of bringing a person to trail a second time for the same crime. Fifth amendment really changed many people’s lives. Back days if somebody stole something they would be hanged for it, but today if you steal you go to jail for couple years and then you're free to go. Today the fifth amendment helps people to protect and keep private property. For example, if the police

The Double Jeopardy clause in the Fifth Amendment protects people from being tried for the same case multiple times. An example of this is if someone is being tried for murder and is found not guilty by a jury, that person cannot be tried again with a different jury until they are found guilty. In the film Double Jeopardy they set the precedence that if Libby kills her husband at the end of the movie, she couldn't be charged with murder because she had previously been tried and convicted of his death. Unfortunately the double jeopardy clause would not protect her.
The fifth amendment is part of the “Bill of Rights,” which states each citizen equal rights. This bill says the guarantee of a citizen’s due process to anyone for any crime and that the state must respect their legal rights. The state did not recognize Gideon’s legal right to representation. When Gideon was arrested, he was denied his right to the fifth amendment.

The only time that pleading the fifth is not possible is during presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury that discusses cases arising in the Militia or public danger. Second is to prevent the government from using the resources to convict innocent people. Double Jeopardy only protects individuals when they are being prosecuted for the same crime. In the Fifth Amendment it explains that double jeopardy is, “No person shall, be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb. Double jeopardy has been
According to the Bill of Rights Institute the Fifth Amendment gives a criminal defendant the right to not testify at trail and this stops the prosecutor, the judge and even the defendant’s lawyer can’t force the defendant to take the witness stand against their will. The Fifth Amendment states that no one maybe deprived of life, liberty or property without “due process of law” and there is two types of due process which are procedural which is fairness and substantive. According to the Fifth Amendment it protects a criminal defendant from double jeopardy and the reason’s are that it’s to prevent the government from using it’s superior resources so it would wear down and convict an innocent person. It also protects individuals from the financial,
The outcome of this case made sure that every person who was arrested and put under the custody of the police had to read their Miranda rights and therefore made known of their Fifth Amendment rights. This case would change the procedure of every legal arrest from that point on, and ensure that any person under the custody of the police would be fully aware of their

The 4th amendment was made based on the Founding Fathers experience with the Kings agents and the all purpose rit of assistances that they used abusively. The Fourth Amendment to the United States Consitution is the part of the Bill of Rights that prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures and requires any warrant be judicially sanctioned and supported by probable cause. The common misconception is that it simply covers what it states. Important pieces of evidence or information have often been found through illegal means, and this has led to many cases that change the way the constitution and the Fourth Amendment affect
6th Amendment I personally find that out of all the amendments the most important one is the 6th amendment. Reason being that it is crucial in aiding the judicial process from wrongly persecuting innocent people and it allows our democratic process to continue without preventing innocent people for taking the fall while punishing those who harm it. It keeps justice in check, keeping laws in line and rulings to be fair. The 6th amendment helps the defendants have an attorney when they are unable to afford one.
