War had been going on for several years now, at the time many Americans wanted to compromise with Great Britain. But, Americans did not accept the first peace offering from them. This war would take seven years to end, seven years of hard fighting. Some of the British were trying to escape Britain, they went to what is now known as America to escape the king. A group of five men started to make the treaty for the war to end. With over 24,000 men dead, Americans will need to make The Treaty of Paris to get the war to end.
This war is mainly between the United States and Great Britain, although both sides will soon make allies like France and the Netherlands. The ultimate goal is to gain political freedom from Great Britain. Americans declared their independence from Great Britain

Just a few years after the revolution ended, the French Revolution began, mimicking the American Revolution. It had created a blueprint for the French Revolution to follow and helped mold the future for other countries to shadow. Another way the American Revolution influenced other nations was when Texas fought Mexico for their independence. Texas created the Texas Declaration of Independence, shadowing the American Declaration of Independence. The Texas declaration had similar text to the American declaration and it also helped guide Texas for their fight for freedom. More things resulting from the American Revolution is how over half the countries in the United Nations have a declaration of independence that resembles the American Declaration of Independence in some way. The American Declaration of Independence explained why America fought for its freedom. It explained what rights the people have and how the government should treat those rights of the people, and what should happen if the government fails to do its job regarding these rights. These ideas and concepts prompted other countries to fight for their
In two of the three key battles mentioned George Washington was the commander and led the U.S. to victory, after the war George Washington resigned his commission. The peace treaty signed in Paris ended the conflict of the war and the British left the U.S. in defeat taking all that supported Great
The war was known as The Seven Years ' War to the British but to the Americans it was called The French and Indian War, it was the bloodiest American war in the 18th century taking more lives than the American Revolution. Spreading across and involving three continents which included much of Europe, the Caribbean and India. The war was sparked by a clash between the English and French over colonial territory and wealth. “The land- variously claimed by Virginians, Pennsylvanians and the French-was actually inhabited by more than a dozen Indian tribes.” (pg 130)
What Caused the American Revolution The American Revolution was a battle for leadership in the American colonies. At the time, England controlled nearly all aspects, mostly the political and economic, of the colonial lives. Their purpose was to strengthen England. The colonies wanted the freedom from all of the control because they were doing fine without England.
American Revolution decreased the British power and set up an example for Revolutionary war; American Revolution was a turning point for the equality of the gender; American Revolution not only promoted their own economy, but also the world economy so that America can be the largest
Enlightenment was a concept that inspired a new way of thinking of the people. In the newly formed United States of America, enlightenment shaped the way the new government was run. Scientific reasoning was applied to politics, religion, and science. Enlightenment saved music, art, and literature programs in colleges. Enlightenment in Europe led to drastically altered views on philosophy, politics, and communications.
The French was influenced by the American Revolution because they saw how successful it was and thought it would work for them
With the help of France, the Americans finally won their independence from Great Britain. In a picture, it shows the American Revolution when “France sent an estimated 12,000 soldiers and 32,000 sailors to the American war effort” (Document 4). By participating in the American Revolution, France was impacted by Enlightenment ideas because it illustrated how the men in America had much better rights and were treated fairly. In addition, the Revolution was possibly started by just 1 signed piece of paper. While discussing what caused the Revolution, Sir John Dalberg-Acton believed that “the spark that changed the thought into action was supplied by the Declaration of American Independence…”
There were many disagreements and because of those, many events were the cause of the American Revolution. These events included bloodshed by others, peoples rights weren’t enforced, individuals didn’t receive freedom, and our country was just not yet whole. Despite of the causes of why the road to Revolution took place there were effects afterwards. When American Revolution was over with the The Declaration of Independence came into place, treaties were signed, and the Bill of Rights. Now these effects/events were amazing, it helped our country tremendously.
Two obvious similarities between the Texas Declaration of Independence, and the US Declaration of Independence is that they are both declaring their independence, and that they both considered the country ruling them as tyrannical governments. The preambles in both, the US and Texas declarations of independence shows, that they are declaring their independence from the country that they are being ruled by. In the second body paragraphs in both of the Declarations of Independence say that they believe the country's ruling them have tyrannical governments. In the US Declaration of Independence, it says “That these United colonies are, and Right ought to be Free and Independent states” and in the Texas declaration, it says “and that the people
Unit 2: Absolutism and Revolution Portfolio In this unit, you examined the American and French Revolutions. The American Revolution, sparked by conflict over British rule and influenced by Enlightenment ideas, broke colonial ties with a monarchy and yielded a new nation. The French Revolution, inspired by the American Revolution as well as the Enlightenment, freed French citizens from an absolute monarchy and secured equality before the law for all male citizens.
However, this had effects in other places. For instance, the American Revolution inspired people in Ireland, Poland, Haiti, France and Netherlands who revolted against leadership. There were revolts in the entire Spanish empire after the American Revolution. The American Revolution also led to the emergence of new nations and colonies. There were also formation of democratic governments in the new nations and colonies.
The American Revolution affected the entire world in a very fundamental way not just in its own time but continues to affect the present time as well. Some of the major fundamental values that have emerged in the modern times as a consequence of the American Revolution were the rule of law and liberty. Apart from these two philosophical ideas, another major idea that emerged was that even colonialism by Britain, the most powerful nation at the time, could be defeated as longs the oppressed people stand together for their rights and resist
The Treaty of Paris was a peace treaty signed on February 10th, 1763. The Treaty of Paris was established to end the Seven Years’ War between France and Great Britain, as well as their various allies. The purpose to the treaty was to end the Seven Year war, establish peace, resolve British hunger for land, and initially end the American Revolution. It actually led to hostility between Great Britain and the colonies in America.
The American Revolution (1700-1790) was a historical event in time, where the Thirteen Colonies that became the United States of America, gained independence from the British Empire. Many historians would agree that the Revolution was caused by events and the growing differences between the colonists and England. The cause of the American Revolution could be summarized in the saying ‘liberty vs. tyranny’. The American Revolution was a struggle by liberty-loving Americans to free themselves from a dictatorial British rule. In this period, the Colonies protested against the British Empire and entered into the American Revolutionary War, also known as the American War of Independence.
The Treaty of Paris was a formal agreement between America and Great Britain, signed on September 3, 1783. The signed agreement recognized American independence, established borders for the new nation, and formally ended the Revolutionary War. Articles of the treaty were being formed as early as 1782, and the Treaty of Paris was finally ratified by the Continental Congress in 1784. The treaty contained ten articles, or key points, and the preface declares the intention of both America and Great Britain to forget all past differences and misunderstandings.
