The Roman Empire fell for many different reasons. The main reason is that Diocletian divided the empire. After this event occurred, many conflicts arose. In the Eastern (Byzantine) Empire, there were many invasions and other riots after Justinian’s death. This led to its fall in 1453, when an army of Turks invaded and captured the capital. The Western part of the empire fell about a thousand years earlier when the Germanic tribes invaded and successfully conquered Rome. Even though it fell, the Roman Empire still left a great legacy.
We have the Romans to thank for many elements of architecture, religion, art, laws, and more. The Romans used elements of architecture such as vaults, arches, and domes. All of which can still be found in places
