In this play (Macbeth by William Shakespeare), I have explored and summarized the character Macbeth. As I have explored Macbeth (character) in the play, I have discovered some interesting aspects of his personality and traits and developed an interpretation and opinion of this Macbeth (character).
Firstly, I think Macbeth is brave and daring as he carries himself well in an expressive manner. A quote to support this is -
"For brave Macbeth — well he deserves that name — Disdaining Fortune, with his brandish 'd steel, which smoked with bloody execution, like valour 's minion carved out his passage till he faced the slave”. Act 1 Scene 2 Lines 16-20. However, William Shakespeare dramatically transforms Macbeth from brave and daring to a coward towards the middle/end of the play. I think that William Shakespeare did this to make the audience have

A quote to support this idea is "Is this a dagger which I see before me, the handle toward my hand?” Act 2 Scene 1 Lines 33, 34. This shows that Macbeth (character) is vividly reminding himself of his the gore of his murder. Furthermore, this explains why Macbeth (character) reacts the way he does in such an exaggerative and expressive manner.
My summary of Macbeth (character) will consist of the character(s) expressions, and effects intended by the playwright (William Shakespeare) and their individual effects on the audience. This Written Summary is to be attached with my Oral Presentation and presented to the Year10 English Department and students. My aim of this presentation is to summarize Macbeth (character) in detail and context. Macbeth exemplifies the hero’s Journey by proceeding to following along the criteria given by Joseph Campbell’s research. The book goes along with the criteria and as well as the main character Macbeth. In the beginning of the story Macbeth and Banquo are approached by 3 witches who tell both Macbeth and Banquo that Macbeth will become King, but never says how “ All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be King hereafter ( 327, line 50)’. This would exemplify what Joseph Campbell would call “The Call to Adventure”.
When we are first presented with the character of Macbeth he is pictured as a noble and loyal warrior. However, once his future is presented to him by the witches saying that he, Macbeth, is to become the next great King of Scotland, he begins to lose focus and makes the wrong decisions. Macbeth begins to only make choices that will benefit only himself and to gain power. Becoming almost unrecognizable to the person he once was. After confronting his wife, Lady Macbeth, he isn't the only one with a lust for power.
Macbeth Change in personality is very normal in humans. All of us are changing, just like us Lady Macbeth and Macbeth have major changes in personality. We see Lady Macbeth is very passionate about what Macbeth tells her in the letter. After he comes back we can see that she really wants to be able to get the throne for him. Lady Macbeth is a very passionate, strong and dominant person.
Through the course of ‘Macbeth’, masculinity is presented as a driving force to Macbeth’s crimes, making it a vital theme. In this essay, focus will be on masculinity’s presentation through Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. In the beginning, Shakespeare portrays Macbeth as “valiant”: a prized masculine quality and the key to respect in their society. However, this trait becomes warped along the play. Furthermore, Lady Macbeth has power comparable to man’s
The Tragedy of Macbeth In William Shakespeare’s play The Tragedy of Macbeth we, the readers, are allowed to connect and witness Macbeth’s change in personalities from the beginning until now. When first meeting Macbeth we notice that he does not wear the pants in the household. He doesn’t have a strong mentality to process what is happening in his life and his wife, Lady Macbeth, questions his manhood. When we arrive in Act 3, Scene 2, we are confronted with an alternate side of Macbeth.
Macbeth’s mental condition begins to dwindle as time goes on, starting with the murder of Duncan. At first, Macbeth is seen as a soldier that everyone aspires to be, strong, brave, and compassionate about his duties to the king. In act one scene two, Captain says, “...For brave Macbeth-well he deserves that name-...” This shows that he is a likeable person who has only the objective of serving his king. After meeting with the witches and hearing his prophecy, Macbeth starts to think about what it would be like to be king of Scotland.
Shakespeare engineered a most impressionable character in Macbeth who easily succumbs to the extensive magnitude of opposing constraints. This character is Macbeth, who is the protagonist in the play and husband to a conniving wife, who in the end is the sole cause for Macbeth 's undoing. Conflicting forces in the play compel internal conflicts within Macbeth to thrive on his contentment and sanity as he his torn asunder between devotion, aspiration, morality and his very own being. He has developed a great sense of loyalty from being a brave soldier; however, his ambition soon challenges this allegiance. As his sincerity begins to deteriorate, his own sanity starts to disintegrate until the point where he cannot differentiate between reality

This conveys Macbeth’s character at the beginning to be a misrepresentation because for him to have killed Duncan who was his king and cousin as well as Banquo a friend and man who he fought alongside in the war is not the actions of a noble man. However, he first acts on his ambition in (2.1) when Macbeth makes his “is this dagger before me” speech; he acknowledges that what he sees is not real, but through this vaulting ambition he visualizes the dagger as sign that he should kill Duncan. After he kills Duncan it is apparent that his

In this essay, I will be exploring the personalities and actions of the persona in relation to this quote. A key theme studied in this paper is the development of the individuals, which plays an important role within the stages of the drama. In this case, “A dead-butcher” refers to someone who kills, implying no remorse for one’s actions due to the fact that being a butcher is an occupation and that killing would be commonplace.
