ZAKIYA BROWN (17, African American) and DESHAUN (17, African American) have been friends since childhood. Zakiya considers Deshaun a friend, but Deshaun has stronger feelings for her. Zakiya doesn’t want to end up like her mother, young and pregnant. Her mother’s currently in a halfway house and Zakiya lives with her AUNT MICHELLE. Zakiya wants to control the destiny of her life and she doesn’t want to be labeled. At the age of 11 years old, both Zakiya and Deshaun make a pack to lose their virginity on Prom Night with each other.

He shows up at the motel with two dwarf hookers, but it turns out to be a setup when midget gangsters surround Deshaun and Glen. They want their wallets and they stab Glen in the thigh. The gang realizes the boys don’t have money and leave. Deshaun calls Lee-Lee, who takes Glen to the hospital.

Mandy, furious with Zakiya, calls 911 and reports that there’s a hostage crisis at the motel.

Deshaun and Zakiya finally kiss and their passion turns into sex. When they are done, they are horrified to learn that the condom broke. Zakiya panics. She hides in the bathroom. She doesn’t want one night to ruin her life. She doesn’t want to become another statistic.

Deshaun notices the police and SWAT arrive at the motel. They storm the rooms. Deshaun panics over the bag of weed. He tries to warn Zakiya, but they argue.
