Before people start to judge someone, they should first learn about the person. Some of the most famous people in the world once had a story that could change the way someone will judge them. Human nature’s first instinct is to be judgmental before they truly get to know someone. For example, Oprah Winfrey has an extraordinary story that not everyone exemplifies. If someone just heard her story before knowing her name, they would instantly judge her. Oprah Winfrey, the queen of all media, has been a television-show host, a movie star, a magazine publisher, and an inspiration to millions, but her life was not always as glamorous as it appears today. Oprah Winfrey was born on January 29, 1954 in Kosciusko, Mississippi. She was raised by her grandmother in poverty. (Gardner 1) At the age of three, she was reciting poems and bible verses at church. At the age of six, she went to live with her mother in Milwaukee. Oprah was raped at the ages of nine through thirteen. She went to live with her father at the age of twelve.
