Today I will be talking about MRSA. MRSA is short for Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus. MRSA is also known as a Superbug. I will tell you why it 's a Superbug, how it 's treated, and a method of prevention. This is a bacteria that will cause you to have an infection. The bacteria is called staph. It 's a Superbug because the normal antibiotics that are used to treat the infection will not work with this type of infection. If you are badly infected or the infection gets into your bloodstream then that is when you are treated with medication through IV.
