Is Brendan Dassey guilty? The issue of the murder of Teresa Halbach is important because 16 year old Brendan Dassey is accused of rape and 1st degree murder. This is debatable because some believe that Brendan along with his uncle Steven Avery were the killers and rapist of Teresa Halbach, while others feel the suspect is still on the streets. A reason why people believe Steven Avery is the suspect is because of the few minor incidents that has happened in the past.
Others look past those and feel Mr. Avery is innocent, Brendan has no criminal record up until the investigation of the death of Teresa Halbach. My opinion on this is that Brendan Dassey is innocent. He is a young kid with a whole life ahead of him, why would a young kid do something so horrific? I firmly believe that Brendan may have been a victim of it as well as Teresa Halbach. I feel that he did go over to the residence and was threatened by the killer that

They also interrogated Mr. Dassey illegally, they had excused him from the school he was attending and brought him down the Police department with no parent and/or attorney present. By law interviewing a juvenile they must have a parent and/or attorney present during questioning and they failed to contact either a parent or attorney. This had happened multiple times, they interviewed at the school also at the police station. Also when Brendan’s attorney had asked what had been said, the investigators withheld the information that Brendan had spoke about. They should've released the information to his attorney when requested. Many experts have weighed in on the matter including Steven Avery’s defense attorney Dean Strang. “ i don’t know why they feel they need to lock up a bright young man. He didn’t do it. He doesn’t have the mindset to ever do such a thing.” Brendan needed guidance in school with homework and daily work. He did not catch on to things real
Being that the brand and the sea trial an investigation was in the early 2000 's there were video cameras recording each and every question in session one of those videos was four hours long, after both lawyers and attorneys from both sides discussing with the judge the judge ruled that only the first three hours of the tapes would be shown in court as evidence. This is very important because the last hour and half of the tape held the investigators not abiding by the law. During the trial of friend and see the district attorney Ken Kratz was a very short was rather rude in presenting his questions and evidence against Brendan Dassey. Some people believe that since Dassey was an alleged accomplice to an extremely heinous crime that the state/county of Manitowoc County Wisconsin forgot that he was still 16 because they were trying him as
Avery was found guilty of homicide and possession of a firearm, while Brendan, the nephew of Avery, was found guilty of homicide, mutilating a corpse, and sexual assault. And it was all based around this one particular murder that transpired in Manitowoc County, where the unfortunate victim was a young woman by the name of Teresa Halbach. The murder of Teresa Halbach occurred
This has led many people to believe that Avery was framed and there is still a murderer on the loose whilst others believe that he wasn’t given a fair trial no matter his innocence. They believe that there may have been previous bias and bribery in the jury because of Avery’s criminal past. Some also protest that Dassey was manipulated and brainwashed into admitting a crime that he did not commit. There is also numerous theories regarding a stolen blood vial of Avery’s that his blood was planted in Halbach’s vehicle, that the keys were planted by officers during 6-day search of the Avery property, or that the remains were scattered by an unknown source. There is nothing as of now that proves or disproves that Avery and Dassey were not involved in the murder of Theresa Halbach.
Steven Avery is a well known name in the criminal courts and known for many crimes. Burning a family cat, running his cousin off the road and pointing a gun at her, beating and raping Penny Bernsteen. Although his name is quite common, and he has some faults did he really murder Teresa Halbach? I believe that Steven Avery is innocent, he did not do it. A lot of the information and evidence seems to be misleading or deceiving.
They admitted, they let this four year old boy down. Nobody, gave Daniel a voice to speak about his life. Daniel was not questioned about his surrounding situation. They officers knew a portion of the situation, but ignored the facts of Daniels endangerment. The police said, they could have done more to protect this four year old
This was the proof of Avery’s innocence. It was Gregory Allen’s DNA. Steven Avery was released from
Avery is charged with: (1) 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, (2) Mutilation of a Corpse, (3) Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and (4) False Imprisonment. Id.,(Ex. F.) Steven Avery pleads innocent to the murder and mutilation of Teresa Halbach on January 16, 2006.
There was also traces of a fire inside. He walk to a bedroom and that was when he noticed his deceased
The Scottsboro Trials were a set of trials where nine black boys named Charlie Weems, Ozie Powell, Clarence Norris, Olen Montgomery, Willie Roberson, Haywood Patterson, Eugene Williams, Andrew Wright and Leroy Wright were accused of on March 25th, of raping two white women Ruby Bates and Victoria Price. These women were pressured to accuse the nine men. The white men that pressured the women told the conductor to stop at the next town so they could get the police. The police arrested the Scottsboro Boys and they were brought to trial. Eight out of nine of them were sentenced to death.
However, the police while investigating the incident police never found a gun with or near the boys. The jury didn’t care they just wanted to keep the police protected so we had protection. Police, therefore, need better training. If there would have had better training, they would have known the boys were unarmed. Also, police are killing innocent people who are just enjoying their daily lives.

What if your loved one was savagely killed by a teenager with no remorse? Juveniles should be convicted as adults for ferocious crimes because even though they are “kids” they kill innocent people and should get punished for the crime they committed. Teenagers commit gruesome crimes like murder and knowing what they are makes the situation far worse. In the article “Kids are Kids-Until They Commit Crimes” the author Jennifer Jenkins talks about the teenagers that committed gory murders against innocent people that didn’t deserve to die like a road animal. For example, a 13 year old shot to death an english teacher.
Brandon L. Garrett used a lot of evidence to support his claims in Convicting The Innocent. Garrett used many facts to support the claims he made and represented his findings with many charts, graphs, and percentages. He reviewed police reports, interrogation transcripts and recordings, prosecution files, trial transcripts, and court opinions. Just like Garrett 's Convicting the Innocent, William Stuntz 's, The Collapse of American Criminal Justice, he talks about how prosecutors now decide whom to punish and how severely they will be punished. Garrett wrote about this in his book about how the judge and jury believed the prosecutors even though before the trial they recalled a different image of their attacker then the image they have of them during
