Joan Didion Quote The famous author Joan Didion has a quote that says “Life changes fast. Life changes in the instant. You sit to down for dinner and life as you know it ends.” This quote can easily be mistaken for dark or depressing but there is a lot more meaning behind these few sentences. It took me a great amount of time to find a quote that can reflect on my life, but when I stumbled across this one, I knew my search was over. In my life, I have only been through 17 years and it is literally the longest thing i've ever experienced. It could be me going through teenage years or maybe the amount of stress I endure because I feel like I’ve already been through so much. That being said, it hard for me to think about people that are 100

In the novel “Hate List”, Valerie Leftman is to return to school five months after her boyfriend, Nick shot several fellow classmates in the school cafeteria. Most of the people shot were on a list Valerie and Nick made and called the hate list. A majority of the school community believes that Valerie was aware of Nick’s plan to kill the kids (she wasn’t aware) despite the fact that Valerie saved someone’s life and got shot in the process. In “Hate List”, Valerie and everyone around her must pick up the broken pieces of fear and sadness after the tragedy. This creates a story that is both universal and so unique that it will leave the reader changed on a fundamental level.
Delphine, a mature yet childish girl, has a very complex character with a change of personality over the entire book 'One Crazy Summer'. Throughout the book William presents Delphine as a mature and serious girl who is represented in lots of things, some being mature and on the other hand, she can be shone as being childish. She has a very big responsibility of taking care of her sisters which she does this very well; as when she and her sisters go to see her original mother who left them when they were younger, they grow much more mature and learn the truth about the world including racism and injustice. I believe a hero is someone who accepts everyone no matter what, does good even when no one is looking and is willing to broaden their views and not be self centered. Therefore, no, I do not think Kim davis is a hero because she discriminates a group of people because of her own religious views and she is a hypocrite. She says she does everything under God and the Bible but she has commited several sins herself! If Kim Davis wants to punish others because of how she interpreted the Bible, then she should punish herself first for commiting adultery and having four marriages and three divorces and more than one affair.

Have you ever heard about Paul Revere? He, (in my opinion) was the best patriot ever to live. He was the guy who went around telling people that the British were coming. One of his amazingly famous quotes was “one if by land, two if by sea”, this quote means when he was warning people in Boston about the British, he sent Joseph Warrens to light two lanterns if the British came by sea and one lantern if the British came by land. If you want to learn more about Revere, r Paul Revere was born on December 1734, in Boston 's north end.
“What if today were my last day on earth?” Everyone has asked themselves this question at least once in life, most try not to think about it because although not one hundred percent guaranteed they know tomorrow will come. Morrie on the other hand was not as sure about seeing tomorrow like normal people and in his last days on earth he decided to share all the knowledge he had gained throughout his life. Morrie began telling Mitch many aphorisms, little saying that put life in perspective. As I read Tuesdays With Morrie there were a few aphorisms that stuck with me and made me think a lot about my priorities in life.
