During my high school career I have made a consistent effort to stay involved in both my school and community. Through clubs such as Key Club, National Art Honor Society, and National Honor Society I’ve been able to help out locally and globally in an abundance of ways. In Key club and NHS I am able to volunteer in traditional ways, but National Arts Honors Society allows me to contribute to my community and school in a creative way that stimulates people 's minds through art. Due to these activities having a significant impact on my life my future career options are based around what I have learned from them. I plan to attend college to study art within the marketing/communications field in the upcoming years. I wish to cultivate my knowledge
Out of the three activities I participate in at Anson High School, the National Art Honor Society would be one that has impacted me the most. When I was first put into the art class my sophomore year, I tried my hardest to drop the course. The reason being is because I knew for a fact I would not be able to fully enjoy the course with my lack of artistic skills. After being in the class for a month and completing my first art assignment, I realized how much talent I actually do possess. A passion for art was quickly created over the course of time.

An individual’s character is created from their personal successes, achievements, experiences, failures and life situations. I personally could start out by saying here is a story of an addict who ultimately got herself together after 16 years of addiction to drugs, except that is not what defines me. However, that is part of my story a small part, nonetheless it has a place in my history. Moving forward, today the titles I carry is wife, mother and a student. Being a mom has been my favorite title above all, even with the challenges that has come with it.
Sports THE BARONS SOCIAL CLUB, INC. Noble Teens of Reception 1944-1948 At the beginning of the school year—1944-1945, Beach High School was void of an athletic program. Additionally, social activities for students were almost non existent. To fill this void, Walter B. (49) Simmons inspired the inception of a teen age boys club.
I’ve always wondered what I was going to be when I grew up, but I just could never find the right job. I would always run into the problem of either finding a career that I wouldn’t like or one that I wouldn’t understand. However, according to the Holland Code I am investigative, social, and artistic. This has shown to open a lot of career ideas for me; especially ones that include interacting and helping with others. Looking through all of them, there were a few that I definitely have thought of.
To be in National Junior Honor Society you have to have good character, citizenship, service, and leadership. First, I have good character. I take criticism willingly, and I also welcome recommendations. Second, I demonstrate citizenship well. Civic involvement is very important, and I have high regard to freedom, justice, and respect for the American form of government.
The first notable member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated that really sticks out to me is Umzae George Washington Carver. He was initiated in the Gamma Chapter in the year of 1918. To begin I selected him, because he was a very familiar name. I remember learning about Umzae George Washington Carver in the elementary and middle school. With creating over 100 different uses for the peanut, soybean, and sweat potato he was a very prominent African American man in the 1920s.
By active community service, leadership roles, and hard work, I have learned the incredible importance of academic achievement, character, leadership, and service. Through these things, I have been substantially prepared by the Beta Club to serve others as I depart high school and
It is a great honor to be nominated as a member of the National Honor Society. There are many reasons why I want to take part in NHS. One reason why I want to be in it is to continue to grow academically with people who have the same goals as me. I want to be encouraged, not discouraged by the people around me. If I get into NHS, it will give me a lot of opportunities to be a leader.
Kappa Gamma Pi is a prestigious honor society that only a select group of student’s quality to apply for membership. It is a great honor to be offered the opportunity to become a part of an honor society that has an emphasis on excellence in leadership. Throughout my college career at St Joseph’s College and within my daily life I strived to achieve excellence. Leadership is an essential skill one must obtain especially within my program of study, Child Study. A teacher acts as a role model, and guide for their students.
The National Honor Society is built upon four founding principles: Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. I have a high school life filled with dedication to these four principles on the Spiritual standpoint, the Familial level, the Community level and finally at the National level. Moreover, I did begin my dedication to these same four principles even before this starting with the Boy Scouts of America and this commitment will continue along with having a rich future when I reach my fullest potential. I firmly believe that to have academic excellence is giving your best effort to maintain not just having straight As and a high GPA at or close to the edge of attaining a 4.0, but to also have the skills that help you perform your very best in college and beyond. To recap, it is having a well-rounded education with just the right academics and activities best suited to your
Working on a personal level, especially children, has always appealed to me. Whether it be babysitting, tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering I have always been involved in activities that allow me to interact with others. While attending Ohio State University I discovered some great opportunities to engage in more advanced fields and tie my passion with my major. I became Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) certified and worked with an adolescent male on the autism spectrum multiple nights a week. I worked with my advisor to create and modify a behavior plan with a rewards system to help with his social, vocational, and independence skills.
I also love the arts and being creative just as much as I love helping others come to resolutions. From the time that I was a peewee to a college student, I have always been on the honor roll and pride myself on being a mentor to others. Needless to mention the several awards from jobs and schools complimenting great work ethics, productions, results, and going above and beyond for the citizens of our society. I take great pride in whatever I set my mind to do; because whatever is worth doing, is worth doing right. Which is why Lesley University’s program a great fit for me.
By the time I became a senior in high school, I was involved in a broad range of activities and I was a leader in almost all of them. I was captain my school’s math team, science bowl team, and science olympiad team. I was the programming lead and strategy captain for the FIRST FRC robotics team. I was the technology officer and a representative for my school’s student council. I preformed two independent research projects in high school under a mentor and performed well over 500 hours of service in largely self-driven volunteer work.
As i look back at all the accomplishments that I have made to help myself and the community, I learned that all my hard dedicated work has paid off and will follow me in the future. I always told myself that I would somehow be involved in the arts as soon as I knew what my talent was. Once I found out that I could sing I involved myself into programs that helped me learn more things and to get to a advanced level and once I continued in those programs I ended up being a great voice performance major. Once you involve yourself in something you love you should help others also that want to have the chance also. Bringing a service to the arts means that you are a dedicated person to what you want to pursue and what you want other people to
