Louise Norton Little gave birth to a little boy named Malcolm Little on the date of May 19, 1925, in the city of Omaha Nebraska. When Malcolm was a toddler his family was forced to move out of their house because they had no choice in to do so because their house was burnt down. The house was burnt down on purposely by the Black Legion, Malcolm was only 4 when his family had to relocate, his family did relocate twice. Soon later Malcolm Little’s father (Earl Little) died after getting hit by a train car. The family thought it was more than an accident it was, they thought it was the Black Legion killing his father. The police later labeled the case as an accident.

In 1946 he wasn’t doing something really intelligent at the time. His friend nicknamed “Shorty” (his name was also Malcolm) and he decided to burglarize a store, and they were convicted of it, which Malcolm Little was sentenced ten years in prison, because of it, but got to serve seven with parole. Which the date was on August 7th, 1952, although when Malcolm Little was in prison he became friends with people. The particular guy he met in prison was a self-educated guy. His name was John Elton Bembry (“Bimbi” he was referred as). John Elton Bembry convinced Malcolm Little to become more educated in reading more and more. Malcolm also named or referred himself as “Satan”, because of his hatred for The Bible and God. Malcolm Little became interested in reading the Islamic beliefs, because of Bembry. Malcolm joined the organization NOI (Nation Of Islam). Malcolm became a minister of the NOI, in 1952 Malcolm Little changed his surname from Little to X, because he thought the surname “Little was more of a slave …show more content…
Malcolm also avoided the NOI at all cost and he decided to not be in the organization anymore. So he terminated the organization and, he then started his own organization called the Muslim Mosque Inc. The Muslim Mosque Inc. was started four days after he left the organization. Soon later Elijah Muhammad was ordering guys to plant a bomb in Malcolm's X’s car, which was attempt and he found out. After many many tries, his enemies were succeeding on the day of February 21st, 1965 at Manhattan's Audubon Ballroom. Which the gunman rushed upon the stage, and shot him a total of fifteen times. May 19, 1925 Malcom Little was born in Omahaw, Nebraska to his parents Earl and Louise Little. In1928 the Little family moved to a home in Lansing, Michigan into a white supremacy neighborhood. Shortly after they moved in they were sued for eviction for living in a house that was only livable for Caucasians. On November 7, 1928 the house that they were living in got burned down.

Things didn’t start going downhill until Malcolm's dad was killed by a KKK member. Him and his other siblings adjusted easily but their mom didn’t.

His mother and father were Earl and Louise little, at the time they couldn't have known how troublesome he would be, but at the same time he himself could never imagined that he would be a leader for the black society. Growing up Malcolm was a troublesome young boy he got into to mountains of trouble and ended up in jail. February 27th is when his life changed, he had started his ten year sentence in the Massachusetts State Prison in Charlestown. In jail he was nicknamed ¨Satan¨ because of his hostility towards the Christian religion.
Malcolm x told both Haley and all of his followers that, converting to Islam was one of the biggest turning points in his life, and it basically made him who he was. Haley and Malcolm got in a argument because of Malcolm's choice on leaving the nation of islam. Malcolm didn't want anything about Elijah Muhammad to be in his autobiography, but Haley argues that if any changes were to be made the book would lose its officality and Haley wanted the true store to be told not something Malcolm liked or disliked. Malcolm x was shot and killing in February 21, 1965 in the ballroom while giving a speech. Alex Haley was forced to finish the autobiography on his own.

The assassination of Malcolm x was unjustified because he was a civil rights activist and because he spoke the truth about Elijah Mohammad and left the NOI, however when Malcolm x spoke on the NOI in his speeches and expressions it created jealousy and rivalry within the organization. Malcolm has often been described as one of the most influential African Americans in history, his assassination was unjustified because they didn't do enough investigation. Malcolm X had a troublesome childhood growing up. He was an orphan early and he dropped out of school in 8th grade because his teacher told him he couldn’t succeed on being a lawyer based on his race. He was later arrested in 1945 for burglary and was sent to prison. It was then and there where Malcolm X found his passion of reading and writing. There he was also introduced to a man by the name of Bimbi, Malcom X stated that he wanted to ‘emulate’ him.

Earl was killed when he was run over by a car, Malcolm was six years old. After Earl’s dead, Louise had a nervous breakdown which ended with her being sent to a mental institution, Malcolm was now thirteen. Malcolm and his brothers and sisters were separated and sent to foster homes.

Malcolm X 's "A Homemade Education" uncovers a story of how he gained knowledge by himself and how it guided his thoughts and ideas in becoming a more knowledgeable speaker. Although Malcolm X is a very outspoken person about racism in the United States and throughout the world, he had the right to be upset but goes a little overboard on blaming whites. The main focus of "A Homemade Education" by Malcolm X is his endless attempt to increase his knowledge by teaching himself how to fully understand different words of the dictionary. Although he was inspired by a fellow inmate when he was in Charlestown Prison, Malcolm, young as he was back then, began reading intensely but couldn’t understand exactly what he was reading because of his writing and reading skills. Starting from being illiterate, Malcolm X used every resource he had to broaden his language abilities and be able to communicate to the world and his people.

In other words, Malcolm shows the characteristics of an ancient prophet, thus making him a modern prophet. Although Malcolm was born in Nebraska, his family moved to Lansing, Michigan when he was just an infant.
