First it seems to me that Mark starts to understand how he could get each of hit students to write, but the staff at juvenile hall doubted mark thinking he made the inmates feel special and wont be able to get them to write. I believe mark gained confidence from being doubted and underestimated from the staff. Mark knows what was better for the students

Mark grew up to be a lot like their father. Since the family grew up poor and with their father walking in and out of their life there was a struggle to know right from wrong with the brothers. Him and his brother Sam always fought, but would only stop when they saw their mother got upset. In the book, Bragg says “Life is too short to dance with an ugly woman, and my ugly woman was my own envy” (131). Mark falls very true to that statement.

William Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” was a play about romance, misunderstanding and happiness. A modern audience would view this play in a different way to an audience in Shakespeare’s time, particularly in relation to the role and status of women and attitudes towards courtship and marriage. Two of the main ideas in the play include the fact that women’s voices aren’t heard and the role of the father in the relationships of their daughters are two topics that will be covered. As a 21st century viewer of this play seeing the treatment of women, and how their voices and opinions aren’t always taken into account, I believe that this sort of treatment wasn’t the right thing to do.
“Report to Wordsworth” by Boey Kim Cheng and “Lament” by Gillian Clarke are the two poems I am exploring in this essay, specifically on how the common theme of human destruction of nature is presented. In “Report to Wordsworth”, Cheng explores the damage of nature caused by humans and man’s reckless attitude towards this. In “Lament”, the idea of the damage of oceans from the Gulf War is explored. In “Report to Wordsworth”, Boey Kim Cheng explores the theme of human destruction of nature as a response to William Wordsworth, an romantic poet who celebrated nature’s beauty in his poetry.
