Woof woof ! You killed me by misleading my owner into thinking that microchipping pets is reliable and safe. In reality, microchipping is a tedious and excruciating process for any pet to go through. Animals should not have to be put through the process of microchipping like I had to. This hurts us but you keep sticking bigger needles in every time you invent a bigger and better microchip. You inserted a huge needle into me and it caused me to bleed severely and several days later my owner found a large cancer growth on the site of the microchip. It’s not just me effected by this as, scientific studies have found that many dogs have died from tumours and immense neurological damage. For many years people have fought for equality whether it is objectifying women or respecting skin color, however, what about the living companions that do not have a voice to fight for themselves? Owning and raising a dog in today’s world is not easy, yet Americans are purchasing dogs selfishly making them seem like objects which can easily be replaced. Much like other freedoms in life, Citizens are blind to the fact that owning a dog is simply a privilege that should not be taken for granted. Dogs have fought and died to earn a spot entitling them as man’s best friend over the years, yet false information can easily blacklist them and make them unadoptable. America should change animal ownership privileges because the increasing numbers of dogs in shelters, relaxed specifications on dog breeding, and the unfair accusations towards specific breeds.

Resulting, in a concern with the rising overpopulation of companion animals in the United States. There are too many animals running around uncared for and/or becoming unwanted by their owners so they are left on the streets. There are strategies to combat overpopulation that have been discussed and some I have thought up of on my own.
According to Dan Tillery of Best Friends Save Them All, ”The saddest part of my job is hearing the stories of loving family pets being torn from their families because of breed discriminatory legislation.” Just imagine the heartache if your pet was snatched away from you and killed just because of what he

Don’t Buy, Adopt Imagine being cooped up in a wire cage not even big enough to stand up in. Being forced to lie in your own feces because the cage has never been opened.
