My earliest interest in airplanes started back in my childhood when I was completely mesmerized by the flying aircraft. As a child, flying paper planes was so fun. But, this amazement was for few seconds as the paper planes tend to fall down after few seconds of flight. But it was a completely different story when compared to the huge aircrafts which were able to maintain their course for a long time without falling to earth. My eagerness to know the reason behind this perpetuated state of aircraft became the stepping stone for my interest. Slowly, with time my interest developed into a passion which I followed with great zeal.

At the undergraduate level, with the exposure to good professional laboratories, workshops and aero-labs my interest reached a new height. My courses at the undergraduate level provided me with an impregnable and across-the-board background in aerospace technology that kept me up to date with the latest technological developments. With time, I developed my interest in aerodynamics, aircraft structures and aircraft design.
My urge to gain knowledge about aircraft was not limited to academics; I also took part in Aeromodelling. Through Aeromodelling, my perception of the aircraft structures and various forms of airfoil became quite explicit. The student speaker in the video was proud of their field and were satisfied with the job. Everybody wants a job that makes them happy and that is exciting and enjoyable. As a young man, he was driven to “learn all he could about machines, working in shipyards, power plants, machine shops, anywhere he could acquire mechanical knowledge” (Maksel). Eventually, he became fascinated with the new field of aviation. He read and translated information about the Wright brothers, Glen Curtiss, and Henri Farman into Chinese. In 1906, he started his own “aircraft factory, building airplanes of his own design” (Maksel).
During World War II, the United States Army Air Corps made many advancements making it possible to better protect the troops and bring them home. Not only were there many improvements in aircraft technology, but there also began to be changes in society’s views on African Americans in the military. The increase of aviation technology that developed during this World War was a defining characteristic of the outcome of the war. Each country fought for control of the air to gain the advantage over the opposing side. Aviation and improved aircraft were crucial to the strategies and developments that took place.

During the beginning of the first world war, aircrafts were used primarily for military observation of enemy states and did not play a large role until near the end of the war where they were used to bomb enemy territory on the western front. The first fighter planes produced in World War I, was rarely used due to their overall inaccuracy and inefficiency whereas the fighter planes/jets produced during world war II, had more speed, enhanced armoury and were more accurate and precise. As such, the long-range aircraft of the second world war removed the Mid-Atlantic Gap. Furthermore, technological progression had a large influence on the production rate of airpower.

Right from my childhood days, I was always eager to know how things work in surroundings. When I was given toys, I hardly played with them rather tried to dismantle it and try to know the mechanism running it. During school days, I have participated in many science exhibitions which further motivated me towards taking my knowledge and experience onto a higher and advanced level. Aircraft Performance Through the chaos and mayhem of World War 2, the aviation industry made significant advancements in its technology. After the war ended, this technology stretched and expanded to the farthest reaches of the world. Frank Whittle of England and Hans von Ohain of Germany both created the world of aviation that we live in today. Both men did it without the knowledge of each other throughout the 1930s and 1940s.
