Native Americans Native Americans are very different from other tribes. They eat, live, dress and do many things differently. The things I’m going to be talking about in my interesting paper is What they eat? What they wear? Where they live? and What their homes are made up of. While giving you a brief summary on my paper, here are some more facts on how Native Americans live their life. Native Americans eat acorns or wild grass seed mashed up and cooked into flat bread or soup. When European settlers began to settle in North America, they soon learned to eat like the the Native Americans but the main thing they ate was a lot of sweet potatoes, corns, beans, meat, berries and nuts. Their beliefs were rejected by the white-american culture which made it difficult to assimilate or control the tribes by the United States. The U.S. was trying to convert the plains tribes from hunter-gatherers to farmers in the the European-American tradition. Native Americans tends to focus around nature. Their religion includes a number of practices,ceremonies and traditions. Their religion ceremonies included feasts, music, dances, and other performances. Symbolism especially with animals played a huge part in the Native American religion party. Native American religion is something hard to define.In order for you to understand the meaning of their religion you have to grow up submersed in the beliefs,practices, and know the traditions of any tribe. It’s something really different, it isn’t the same as becoming a born-again Christian or converting to judaism. Each tribute and peoples had their own unique beliefs,legends, and rituals, but they all believed the world was filled with spirits. Something called “Medicine Men and Women” are spiritual leaders who use herbs to heal sick people. It’s very important to have spiritual leaders because they are the one’s to provide for the sickness of people, they play a huge role in people's lives so that’s why they're so important to the Native Americans religion. Now in closing, I have learned a lot of new things that I have never seen or heard of
