For the last two years of my academic career at Kansas State University, I have been privileged and honored to receive the O’Brate Scholarship which has indubitably been a pivotal factor in making my college years both positive and successful. The financial security, network of support, and outreach the O’Brate Scholarship bestows unto its recipients such as myself, allows to direct more attention and effort into studies and other academic endeavors in addition to other college experiences which would otherwise would be limited. Furthermore, by budgeting my money on a month to month basis, I have become a more conscious and savvy consumer. Knowing where the money comes in from and where it goes helps maximize the potential of every dollar.
