Pain comes in different ways and in different scenarios for each person and even pets, but with perseverance we can get through these painful times in our life. In the book The Call of the Wild, Buck, the main character gets shipped from owner to owner, coming out of each owners care, not in the best state of health. Often times he returns beaten and starved, but with perseverance he keeps on running and eats back to health. Much like Buck, my mom persevered. While just starting her adulthood she had a major brain surgery, which caused a lot of severe pain. Since she had the surgery and they chunk of skull/brain taken out this affected and made her nervous with her balance. With perseverance she was able to work back to a normal health and get some of her balance back. Three ways they connect are they each grew closer to someone, put their trust in them, and in the end they gained something after they persevered. Buck put his trust and grew closer to John, my mom grew closer to God and put more faith in him. They each found someone out of this, which they wanted to be with for the rest of their life. For Buck this was John Thornton, for my mom it was my dad, the one she would marry and spend the rest of her life with. They both found happiness after they persevered. Buck finally learned to trust again and found someone he cared for deeply, even more that the Judge (his first owner). Not only did he find that, he also found a part of him that he didn 't think was in him anymore, the skills he obtained from his savage ancestors that lived before him. My mom gained numerous thing too, she gained a husband, 4 kids and a dog. But mainly she gained something greater than all those things, she gained a better and fuller relationship with

From my perspective, I believe that both stories show us that no matter what bad situation you are in there is always a solution to be happy. I can see love, respect and strong woman the authors is talking about, that they choose to give a better life to their kids. The similarities that I have found in these two stories are basically the love of a mother towards their children and teach them that even if you love someone and that person is hurting you, you need to move on to provide a better life.
Heroes come in many shapes, sizes, and colors… They all have something in common, which is (Grit) passion, perseverance, and courage. The Little Rock Nine is a group of 9 African American students who showed Grit. Firstly, The Little Rock Nine showed perseverance despite the racial hostility depicted in the community. For instance, they were spat on, embarrassed on a daily basis, and continuously harassed with vulgar terms.

The relationships in the family become dysfunctional because of their lack of communication. Conflict management could have assisted the Jarrett family with their situation. Conrad, Beth, and Calvin all participate in acts of “silence” or “violence.” Conrad shows acts of “silence” or “violence” in a myriad of ways.
They lead Buck to the master of his dreams, John Thornton. John is everything Buck wants, he is loving and cares for Buck.
Buck trusted in the people he knew, he trusted Judge and his kids and grandkids, and he trusted in the people who worked on Judges property. After Buck is sold to people in Seattle by one of Judge Miller’s garden keepers, he is with François and Perrault he learned very quickly not to “fall to the ground”. In other words he learned how to be strong and never give up, he also learned that he was not in the dominant position any more. When Buck was with François and Perrault he was on a learning basis he learned
Lastly, Buck was a symbol of growth and transformation because he fought within and had to build confidence within himself to push through the tough times. He went from being a trouble-making house dog to following his ancestors and building power within
The narrator is as if he 's in Bucks ' head throughout most of the story. It helps the readers understand how Buck feels and why he acts the way he does. The tone of the story is very reflective. When put into a situation similar to this, it’s up to the more competent dog to use its knowledge to fend for itself. Could that prove that Darwin’s theory about survival of the fittest is true?
