We are going to bring clothes such as shirts, pants, underwear, socks, shoes, and hats. We will also bring soap, food, and other stuff like that to survive in America. We are getting ready to arrive at the dock and set sail on our journey to America.
My family and I have to take a boat to get to Ellis Island. Ellis Island is a place where immigrants can go and get inspected and get to see if they can come to America and be legal immigrants. You have to take a boat to get to Ellis Island. The boat we had to take was old and but it looked nice and clean on the inside. The boats name was The LA Veloce. The Lusitania was a new age ship. It was supposed to have top of the line technology and was pure luxury. The boat was said to be the biggest and fastest ship of its time, and still managed to carry a massive load of passengers. What was very unusual was that the passengers were so calm and unafraid of German submarines. During the time of departure there was a German notice telling British ships to sail with cation due to German appearance in the area.
I know this because it says “One day, a fierce storm blew their boat over on it 's side. Charbonneau was so frightened that he did not know what to do. But Sacajawea reacted calmly. She recovered the books and instruments that floated out of the water. ”
Hi, I'm Vito. I will never forget the day. it was Monday january 1st 1892. It was a cold gloomy night, very miserable. The ship angrily rocked back and forth, making its way to the land of opportunity.
That good ship and true was a bone to be chewed When the gales of november came early The ship was the pride of the american side Coming back from some mill in wisconsin As the big freighters go , it was bigger than most With a crew and good captain well seasoned(1.1-8)
The Legend of the Ghost Ship A long long time ago, there were big sailing ships on this river. One night in a storm, a big ship sank. All the lanterns were lit as the the ship went down. German Immigrant- $5. Husband and three children. It was not at all how I had imagined it would be. America, the land of the free, was awfully confined. I stepped off the boat with anger filling my entire body.
The Open Boat had a gloomy theme, as it showed the struggle of survival against nature.. Four men were shipwrecked and stranded at sea on a small dingey. At sea for several days, the men attempted to row back to shore. The injured captain and the oiler, Billie, navigated and rowed, respectively. They believed that they saw a lighthouse, and people.
The captain literally dropped to the ground and kissed the land. The captain’s face was overwhelmed with happiness when he planted the white flag in the sand. On the way back home there was a coral reef in our path swirling and swirling. Lucky we were able to dodge it and you could feel the tension on the boat lighten up and for that minute many thought all hope was lost. The first people we met when we landed on the land were natives.
As a teenager moving to a new country with a different culture, different language, and being thousands of miles away from everyone I grew up with was not an easy change, however, that was precisely what I did in January of 2013 when I came to the United States with my father. My whole world changed since, and shaped my way of thinking. From learning English, adjusting to a new culture, experiencing my first snow and finding my way in my new country, my life has been an exciting adventure. My parents brought me to America almost 5 years ago to have a better life, and to get a better education.
The first eight years of my life, I spent in India where I was born. Growing up I was constantly reminded by my parents that I needed to make them proud by getting a good job and living a good lifestyle. They told me this because they did not want to see me live a hard life like they did. When I was nine years old, I moved from India to the United States of America. The reason why I moved to America was not because I was living a bad life in India, it was so that I could have a better education and more opportunities in life.
Day 2 Immigrant. That word gives me a label here. I am crossing the border to the U.S because my parents think it will give us a new beginning and a better life. I think they’re wrong. Our life in El Salvador was fine: We had a nice house and we were healthy.
They were directed to the first floor of the ship where the guard led her all the way to the seats that were packed together. She was strapped into one without somewhere to sit, one with only straps planted on the wall. Hanging there, she was filled with confusion when the guard that led her in strapped himself in right next to her. “What the hell are you doing?” she questioned.

There are three workers onboard the forty-foot boat, which include two guys and a girl appearing to be in their thirties. There is a scraggly, grey bearded old man behind the silver steering wheel on the second
