Every single person in this world is born with some weaknesses and strengths. Throughout our life we work to develop our weaknesses and continue to make the most of our strengths for a better future. Some people stay in denial and think they are perfect while others act on them, recognize their weaknesses and work on it to fix them. I graduated from nursing school in June 2013 and had several job interviews. I still remember human resource staff asking me about my professional strengths and weaknesses. At that time I did not realize the significance of these questions or the influence my answers had on my outcome, but now after working as a registered nurse for 2 years and taking some communication and professionalism classes I can wholly understand …show more content…
In order to attain success, in my opinion, a person needs to acquire these traits. Another strength I see in myself is team player. I work in an extremely busy emergency room and I see myself stepping up for my colleagues. They know that they can always rely on me whenever they need anything. I am very flexible with any changing situation, because working in the ER, thinks change at the blink of an eye. I am sincere, intelligent, hardworking and success oriented. Being intelligent doesn’t mean you are the only person in the room who can turn any impossible thing into possible but it means you can think logically on your feet and you are practical. Being hardworking and sincere run side by side, if a person is sincere in their work, they will definitely work with all their commitment and be also very …show more content…
I consider this is very accurate, at any time I am not at work I am always ready to help other people. Anybody in my family, friends or neighbor can always rely on me. Whenever they need an advice, ride to pharmacy or hospital they always call me. I find helping them very rewarding. Along with my co-workers I plan volunteer activities and we go to shelter homes for providing food and clothing. My relationship with my nursing staff, physicians and managers is very respectable. They trust me and respect my judgment and I give them the same respect in

After knowing what my weaknesses are, I usually try to solve them and improve my skills. For example, I’m not a highly flexible and positive person, so I seek out to individuals who are flexible and positive in their lives and ask for their advice. Another strength that I have is that I usually have a positive outlook of my improvement, because I have seen examples of those who overcome their hardships and become successful in life, so I believe that if I try hard enough, I will be able to overcome my weaknesses. I’m also confident with my listening skills and my ability to focus on others and make them feel heard. I like to start on works and projects early so that if anything comes up, I will still have time to handle it.
I have become more determined which is one of my strengths. What I have done to stay more focused is make a list of my priorities that I need to stay on task with. It makes me feel better about myself when I check things off my list. I have been also persistent which is another strength that will help me succeed and will help me become a better
The article changed my way of thinking as it increases my understating why I need to maintain professional boundaries by keeping the conversation focused on the patient, provide care and support as a nurse, rather than a friend while keeping strict professional limits
Nevertheless, it is the way that friction is approached that makes a difference. By applying my positive attitude and sense of finding a common ground among coworkers, it will enable me to apply this strength to my daily life. Lastly, the strength of achiever was a lesser theme for me compared to my other top strengths. I sometimes take on too many tasks and want to accomplish many things in order to make me feel good about myself. I am extremely committed to everything I do and influence others to succeed in what they do.

My strengths and vulnerabilities In order to understand my strengths and vulnerabilities clearly for a leadership role, I got feedback from three people. One of them is my manager from the previous job, Tolga Yolaçan, while the others my close friends who are Muaz Zaim and Ali Tüzel. The advantage of getting feedback from them is that they know me broadly and they can point out my strengths and vulnerabilities easily.
In addition, it is important for nurses to be accountable for their own behaviours, which relates to my situation. I did not stop to reflect my behaviour, as I was trying to complete the skill perfectly. By not creating a therapeutic relationship I put the client in a degrading position. My thoughts about this situation have improved after reading this article. It suggests new reflective exercise for the future, as well as describing how nurses have to trust the patient as much as the patient trusts them (Price, 2017).
Nurses have to face with patients, families, physicians, and other professionals who are a

As I have mentioned in my current situations I have strength, weaknesses, opportunity and threats. My strategy is that I want to maintain my strength, overcome my weaknesses and threats and take advantage of the opportunity. My strengths are my calm and observant personality.
These traits are intelligence, self-confidence, determination, integrity, and sociability. I recognize all of these traits within myself. Between my leadership history and my strengths, which were identified from the StrengthsFinder Inventory that I completed this past year, I realize that I
Strengths: As a student one of my strengths is organization. I can say I can keep my school materials and notebooks organized in a way that I and others can comprehend. The reason I can say I am organized is because, I have hardly ever had in the past or present any issues with trying to find homework or assignments because I always kept my materials for each class organized and in a place I could easily find. Another strength I have is social skills. I can believe that I communicate with others well in a group.
