The Revolutionary War was between the British and the Americans, at the time known as the colonists. The war started when salutary neglect was inflicted upon the colonists. When the neglect was lifted the British came back and began taxing the colonists without representation from the colonists. This began the revolts and rebellions by the colonists. During the time when the British left the colonists came up with a new government and began to use it. Why would you try to push away our protection and source of trade?
