To know why each president lead this country the way he did, we must know their background. Ronald Reagan, our 40th president of the United States, served his two terms first. His presidency ran from 1981 to 1989. He was 69 years old when elected president which, at the time, made him the oldest elected president. In his younger days, Reagan graduated high school and worked his way right through college at Eureka College. While in college, Reagan studied economics and sociology, played on the football team, and acted in school plays. Acting in those plays were probably what had prompted him to become a famous actor, but before all the fame came, Ronald Reagan a radio sports announcer.
