Description: The unidentified killer terrorized the town of Vallego,
California by his vicious and evil work in the late 1960’s and early
1970’s. The killer named himself the name “The Zodiac,” in August 7,
1969 in a letter written to the Bay Area Press, the killer follows it with a cross within a circle. The Zodiac claimed 37 victims in a letter written to a publishing company but police were only able to confirm 7 of them. His victims were 3 couples between the ages of 16-

This letter was the first letter that had the second code the Zodiac had created included in it. The letter was sent out to the San Francisco Chronicle on April 20, 1970. The letter reads as follows: This is the Zodiac speaking. By the way have you cracked the last cipher I sent you? My name is ____ I am mildly curious as to how much money you have on my head now. I hope you do not think that I was the one who wiped out that blue meannie with a bomb at the cop station. Even though I did talk about killing school children with one. Allen's connections to the Zodiac started on October 30, 1966 when Cheri Jo Bates was stabbed to death at the university she attended in Riverside California.
