Ever heard the phrase, “humans work better under pressure”? It varies for everyone, but regardless, one who can push through a tough time and come out on top, will have had perseverance. According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the definition of perseverance is, “continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition.” (“Perseverance”). Someone who perseveres is one who does everything in their power to complete a task despite adversity or pressure from friends, society, or time. Synonymous with determination or persistent, perseverance can also be associated with someone's journey to find success or place amongst peers.

People think perseverance is a drive fueled by the passion to reach certain goals or goal-oriented, but perseverance is a long-term commitment and a lot of discipline to improve our skills and performance through persistent effort.
