The final to Super Bowl LI was the greatest comeback in history for the New England Patriots, after they beat the Atlanta Falcons with a spectacular plunge by James White near the pylon.

The game began with an unexciting first quarter that ended with a score of 0 on both teams. It may have seemed that it would turn out to be a dull match but the Falcons scored with two touchdowns in the second quarter with 0-7 to the Patriots. The second touchdown was carried by the runback Devonta Freeman, which must have proven his value to the Falcons after signing his 40 million dollar contract to extend his career.
An incredible pass from Matt Ryan, the Falcons’ quarterback, was caught by the tight end Austin Hooper. Matt Ryan showed to be worthy in the position of the quarterback considering this was his first Super Bowl. The Patriots on the other hand weren't having a great run, especially when their star quarterback, Tom Brady, was intercepted by Robert Alford with less than 3 minutes left in the first half. It was increasingly nail-biting for the Patriots fans, especially knowing their previous winning streaks in the past, they had certainly not been so sluggish in a while after turning the ball twice and failing to stop the Falcons run game. At this point, the Patriots averaged with only 2.5 yards per carry, and the daring Falcons reached 9.6 yards. Ryan continued to lead the Falcons in the third quarter, and they trotted 85 yards down the field, and the quarterback yet again made an amazing pass to Tevin Coleman resulting in a touchdown and turning the score to 3-28 to the Patriots.
