Have you ever read a book that predicted the future? Maybe even has predicted more that hasn't come?In his critically renowned book Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury creates a dystopian future that will send chills down your spine.
Ray Bradbury's internationally acclaimed novel Fahrenheit 451, Bradbury uses a futuristic dystopian world to issue warnings to the people of his time
“Every night the waves came in and bore her off on their great tides of sound, floating her, wide-eyed, toward morning. There had been no night in the last two years that Mildred had not swum that sea, had not gladly gone down in it for the third time”. She felt nothing and said nothing her body was as lifeless as a dead body, this gives a sense of pity and makes the reader

This supports the claim that teenagers and most of society use technology to hide themselves from reality, hinting at the ignorance and mindless living they have in the novel and in the book. In Fahrenheit 451 Bradbury shows the mind of Montag and his surroundings , making him seem like the “odd 1 out” compared to the way people carry themselves around , making humility and self- awareness not really normality. “I rarely watch the parlor walls' or go to races or Fun Parks. So I've lots of time for crazy thoughts, I guess”. The walls and small distractions were …show more content…
Think of these small things like drugs , with fake joy implemented and an ongoing persistent lifestyle that you have no control over , is there really any room for character development? But why notice if everyone around you does the same things and promotes the same things you do? So everyone sits back and chooses not to question the system. “They could afford to be different. The world was roomy. But then the world got full of eyes and elbows and mouths. Double, triple, quadruple population. Films and radios, magazines, books leveled down to a sort of paste pudding norm, do you follow me?" Being the same and believing what you hear is better than questioning the bull shit that everyone and the goverment is brainwashing them to believe. No judgment if they are the same , no ones sad if they all love to have fun and best of all no one notices because the government controls what you read and do because of its normal limitations they have set , in this case The police, mechanical hounds, and firefighters are all under the authoritarian government's authority. The
Many revel in spending their leisurely hours in front of a television screen, while some are content to glue their eyes to a laptop or computer, and others prefer to hover about with their cell phones, unable to be separated from them for even a minute. Even so, they are united by their dependence on technology. Similarly, in the novel Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury, technology is a major aspect of characters' lives. In their society, reading is banned, while technology is encouraged to the point that the people consider their television as their real family. Although it is debatable whether technology is helpful or not, Fahrenheit 451 clearly demonstrates how technology has negative impacts on human behavior.
Most people barely talk to each other in person or are distracted by devices. In Fahrenheit 451 the readers see plenty of examples in which people do not notice a single thing going on around them. For instance, when Montag just got told by Captain Beatty that he can keep and read the book for 48 hours (2 days). Montag starts heading to Faber's house by taking the train which would leave him exposed to everyone Bradbury comments, “Now as the vacuum-underground rushed him through the dead cellars of town, jolting him, he remembered the terrible logic of that sieve, and he looked down and saw that he was carrying the bible open” (Bradbury
Technology plays a part in everyone’s lives. Whether it is making coffee every morning, doing laundry, or watching television, technology is present everywhere. Technology also causes older things that everybody may not agree with, to be banned. For example, more and more books are being banned every day. In Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, books ended up being banned completely and technology was the only form of entertainment, ruling people’s lives.
In our society in this generation, smartphones and advanced technology are becoming more relevant every day. Because of this outbreak, we question if the use of tablets, video games, and smartphones are affecting us in a negative way. Some say it's benefiting our future, whereas others think technology is ruining the minds of the youth. Science fiction novels and movies predict a dark future if we continue down the path we are on. Ray Bradbury even predicted such a dreaded future many decades ago in Fahrenheit 451.
Ray Bradbury’s ideas of the future are becoming true. His ideas were that people would get hooked onto technology. There are many reasons to prove this. For example, people would overuse tv’s and earbuds, people would rely on technology, and how much people are starting to ignore things from books. To start, People overuse technology.
Humans have an especially intriguing propensity for envisioning what 's to come. While the vast majority have taken a couple of minutes to consider where they 'll be in a couple of months, years, or even decades, others have dedicated their opportunity to envisioning about what will look like for all of humanity. Ray Bradbury, a prolific author, is one such visionary. The society depicted in Bradbury 's Fahrenheit 451 is so dependant on technology that the reliance on devices is obscuring their perspective on the world, turning them into selfish and inhuman individuals. In fact, the entertainment is not only a illusion, but a way to control people 's behaviors, thoughts, and interactions by replacing human connection; therefore, destroying
Impending Doom In the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury he has introduced technology in The story that is very similar to today's current technology, Such as Mildred’s Seashell earpiece, the parlor walls, and the Mechanical Hound. This is quite impressive since the story was written in the 1950’s and it uses very modern day technology showing how advanced the book is. In the Story Fahrenheit 451 Mildrid is constantly mentioned Wearing These Seashell Earpiece Radios Which Play music, Broadcasts, Pretty much anything with sound.
The book Fahrenheit 451 takes place in a futuristic society that burns books and worships technology. Bradbury shows the reader how advanced technology could affect how people interact with each other. Such as through Mildred who is constantly distracted by her technology. Bradbury warns that too much technology usage could lead our society to become like the society in Fahrenheit 451. Due to Mildreds obsession with her seashell headphones her relationship with Montag weakens.
